Your's is a juvenile if I recall correctly - chicks and mice would be too big for him. Unfortunatley, if your store's cricket supply is affected by the weather (like mine has been!), you're pretty limited. If you can get out to a larger petstore, you can see if they have small mealworms (use the ones that are more recently shed - they'll have softer bodies & be easier to digest). If you have a bait store nearby, they will sometimes eat earthworms, but you'll have to cut them up.

Other than that, finely shredded friuts & veggies are your best bet. Dragons have a bit of a sweet tooth, so try something like bit of melon (cantaloupe, honeydew - you can usually find these already cut up in some supermarkets). If he'll eat that, mix in some greens, carrots, etc. He may also not be eating his fruits & veggies because he's still used to having his food "move". You could also try cutting a 3/4 inch long, thin piece of carrot, holding it with tongs, and "wiggling" it and see if you can get him interested. This is how we get snakes to eat prekilled prey.

I don't know that he'd eat it, but some lizards will eat baby food or dog/cat food. You could try a small container. I'd go organic with the baby food so it doesn't have preservatives. Cats have a higher vitamin & mineral requirement than dogs, so I try cat food if you want to try this. I'd go with a beef or chicken flavor that didn't have as much in the way of preservatives, wheat/gluten, or fat (a "senior" formula if you can find it). I'd save this as a last resort, though.

Good luck!

Find a forum where you can discuss this with people who feed raw meat diets. They can provide a lot of information to you. I have one dog, a 4 year old Catahoula, that gets a raw chicken leg quarter every day along with her dry dog food. Before we had her, we had two wolf hybrids on the same diet. They lived to 12 and 13 years old and were outdoor dogs.
