This really happened to us. Some ladies got hysterical. (Hint they are not carnivorous and quite chicken. ) (Some even say they taste like chicken.)

iguanas do not reach 10 ft long- they get to 6 max. second id put on some very thick gloves,take a shot of something alcoholic and save the poor thing.

I'd call animal contral right away and tell them what is happening or, I would grab some leather gloves and grab the iguana.

I would definitely save it! I love reptiles, and it's cruel to just watch an animal die like that unless you are incapable of saving it or if the animal is aggressive.

I would have rescued the thing- I have always like lizards- lol- and used to catch them when I was little- poor thing- it shoud have been able to swim out- maybe it was tangled on something-D
