I bought some turtles like a month ago. They are still infants. I never see them open their eyes. They don't even when they are swimming & moving around. Are they blind?

I am getting my first snake next week and I'm buying her from a breeder. She's about 2 feet long right now. My concern at the moment is the enclosure for her. I heard that a glass tank is ok, but not the best for a python. I want my snake to be as comfortable as possible and I need something more insulated because my room gets chilly. Should I build something custom? Where can I get a custom, not-too-pricey enclosure for her ASAP? If I have to get a tank for the time being, I will. But like I said, my house gets cold (no central heating/air) and I rely on a space heater to keep me warm in the winters. This is my first time having a snake so any other advice is greatly appreciated!! I want her to live a long, full & happy life!!

In the past Ive posted questions regarding how I should feed this creature. luckily for both myself and this animal that I am scared to death of my husband has returned home. He has also stopped feeding it pinky mice {as his supply is FINALLY gone} and has attempted to feed it Small Frozen mice {yes he defrosts them and brings them to room temp}. These mice have hair are not to thick and "sally" should eat them however she wont. Is there a reason why? Yet when he places a pinky mouse in the feeder box at the same time as the small mouse {w hair} she'll consume the hairless pinky why is that? Isnt a mouse a mouse? The snake is full grown at 35" in length.

I know copperhead is out there so I'll be waitin on his witty response. Ty

I normally just put regular tap water into my red eared slider cage, but i got a free sample of aqua safe for aquariums, it says for freshwater fish but i am guessing I can use it for my turtle's cage as well. When I put the recommended amount into the tank, do i have to let it set for a while after i put it in the tank, or can I put my turtle back in while it is mixing in with the water? And if i DO have to wait, how long?

My kid put a bunch of crickets in his hermit crabs' terrarium a while back. Can they harm the crabs? I know the crabs can eat small roaches, but I wonder if we should try and take out the crickets. Thank you.
