If you handle your boa often the first thing you will notice is it's belly will turn a light pink color. Then the eyes will turn blue/gray and the overall color of the snake will be very dull. Usually within a week the eyes will clear and the skin will return to almost normal. After this is should be only a few days (generally 2-5 depending on the size) and the skin will come off. The length in which the entire proccess takes depends on the age and size of the snake. Older(and generally larger) snakes take longer to shed then younger ones. Older snakes will also shed less often then younger ones.

His/her eyes will turn a milky blue and the body will look dull. The eyes stay like that for about a week then they turn back normal. After that they shed within 2-3 days. You need a humid box/hide set up. I set mine up by using his undertank heater. I get a rag and get it warm and damp. I put it in the tank over the heat. Then I take his hide spot (plastic) and put it over it. It holds humidity in, though you need to freshen up the rag a few times a day. It keeps it super humid for a perfect shed :)
