my turtle wont eat unless the food is dropped right in front of her, shes a soft shell, she is losing skin on her shell, head, and legs. she only floats, so we drained her water level, and now she only sits ona rock. PLEASE do not answer unless u are TOTALLY sure, because i dont wanta be more worried then i have to be: im in a 3rd world country so saying take her to the vet! will do me absolutly no good.

Thanks in advance.

when i got my first turtle it was like that... even worse, it didn't eat at all. After a few weeks later it died. I took really good care of it and all, but it just wasn't happy, it might be beacuse it doesn't like the food, temperature, or climate. I sugest u take it to the vet and don't make the same mistake of not taking it to the vet as i did. Posting this problem online probably won't do that much...

It's probably going to sie soon if u don't take her to the vet, if the shell of the turtle is really soft its weak and probably has samonella

A turtle does not make a very good pet. They need so much to be confortable. It is like they constantly molt in captivity.Unless you are prepared to spend about a grand.I know,I like turtles as well.

your turtle is almost ready to be eaten. just give her a few more weeks and you should be able to begin feasting.
