I've had five firebelly toads in the same roomy tank for about 3 months so far. They've been fine until I looked in the tank and their were only 4 in there. I didnt take any dead ones out and there is no way my cat could get to them. Is it possible that one ate the other?

Frogs and toads eat one another if they're hungry and bigger. A dead one may have been eaten or plain rotted away.

Frogs and toads are cannibalistic. It's not unusual, especially if one of them is a lot smaller.
