Hello, I was thinking of getting a 13 foot Albino Burmese Python or a 7 Foot Anaconda. I read some stuff online, about how "Dangerous" a albino is, I realize they do pose a threat but I know have of the stuff I read is ******** written by snake haters. Heres a sample "Why would you want to care for a 89 million foot snake that craps and pees big and lives really lo0o0ong!?"
I have read some real facts as well, I want to ask what should I get? (PS: I may be 14 but I am not a begginner in the snake game ;)

I'm learning how to take care of the two I was given and I'm wondering where they are native to so I can make their habitat more natural. I'm guessing Mexico or other warm places. My friend says North America and they are very common.

I've had this ball python for two years and I've tried to rouse him several times but to no avail. He hasn't eaten for about five to six weeks and he didn't respond to any of the mice when I fed him.

I have been mixing up nightcrawlers (bloodworms) and mealworms coated in calcium every other day. I'm wondering if that is enough...a mealworm each every other day and a half of a night crawler the next day.

About a week ago to help my snake shed, I put him in a tub of lukewarm water. It wasn't hot and I had something for him to climb on in the tub. When I put him in his cage and checked up on him in the morning. His new eye caps looked rough and he can barely see. His eyes themselves don't look like they are punctured but the caps look like they were dried and cracked(possibly from rubbing?). Will this be gone the next time he sheds or did he permanently damage his eyes?

My scorpion died today and I have absolutely no idea why. He's been refusing to eat for a few weeks now. The pet shop said it was probably due to the winter or molting. Is it possible that he had an internal parasite or something? Any ideas would be appreciated, as im baffled.

Just idly curious, but not really interested in discussions on snake keeping in general so please stay on topic. I wonder why it seems more heinous to feed another snake to a snake than to feed the little furry mouse....although I am sure the mouse would have a different point of view. It does seem like an efficient solution to dealing with overpopulation, culling, etc. if you breed snakes. I was just wondering what reptile keepers thoughts were on the topic.

i just bought two baby turtles, they are about 2in right now, but they will get much bigger. Right now I have them in a ten gallon tank. I know i will eventually need a larger one, but that's what i have for right now. Anyway, i was wondering about a few things.

First... the water seems very dirty. i have a filter in there and treated the water prior to putting them in there, and I even changed out the water twice this week but it is still pretty foggy. Is this normal and if not what should i do?

Second, there are A LOT of bubbles on the top of the water. To the point that i thought there was soap in there, but there is no way there could be soap in the water. Anyone know what these bubbles are? How do i get rid of them?

Also, what type of heater do I put in there? i have a regular UVA/UVB light and a heating lamp (50w) but the water still seems pretty cold. Do I need a water heater too?

I found a frog living in my basement, but I'm afraid to touch it in case it's poisonous. If it's not I might keep it!

I have two four month old bearded dragons. Last week I noticed a bad smell coming from their tank. I clean it daily. I tried changing from sand to astro turf. I even cleaned the tank with bleach. The tank still smells bad, and now they smell bad too.
