The Guinness Book of World Records lists the longest ever captured snake to be 32 feet (9.75 meters). The heaviest -- a Burmese Python kept in Gurnee, Illinois -- weighs 403 pounds (182.76 kilograms), the book said on its Web site.

the longest snake in the world was a silver reticulated python from malaysia. the heaviest was a green anaconda of south america. but there are others that can get large baby which is a common burmese python is currently the heaviest snake in captivity but ive worked a NERDS for awhile now and their retic scary could be the world longest currently? about 23-25ft.? never can get close enough to messure shes really aggresive. but the african rock python and amethystine python of austrailia can get pretty bis too.

People on Y!A are very vague. You can't just say "anaconda." There are different types of anaconda and they grow to different sizes.

Retic python is the longest, by the way.
