you can turn them loose and they will adapt (revert) to the wild in about 10 minutes! But you cant do it now with winter upon us
you will have to wait for spring
Good Luck

1. Do not release them- not only will they not survive in most of the northern hemisphere this time of year, but captive turtles pick up a variety of diseases from people that they will then spread to the wild population. Even if that does not happen, most studies show they will not live long once released. It is actually more humane to euthanize them (usually by freezing.)

2. The best results seem to come from a 'free to good home' flyer at local pet shops. If the shop itself wants it, great!

3. Animal rescue operations are great if you have one nearby. While many do not ask, it is always good form to offer a donation along with the animal.

If you have a local radio station, newspaper, etc where you can run an ad to sell your turtles. Someone might be interested in them for a Christmas gift.....

Good Luck

contact the pet store and see if they want to buy them back.Post a for sale add on store bulletin boards. Im sure you will get them a nice home. But if there just wild turtles you caught at a pond take them back and set them free.

Call a pet store or the vet, and tell them what type of turtles they are and find out if they can survive in the lake. If so, set them free !! I would.

Put some radioactive ooze on them and then train them in martial arts. In about 15yrs, you'll have a force to be reckoned with. When the evil Shredder attacks, those Turtle boys won't cut him no slack!
