Turtles can live for a very long time, often 25 years or longer. It depends on the type of turtle, and if they were provided the specialized set of needs, that they thrive upon.

Sea turtles- no one really knows, estimates of 100 years are common.
Big tortoise species can live 150+ years if they are protected.
Smaller tortoises and box turtles can break 100... bit not often. 50-70 is more likely.
Common pond turtles usually hit about 20 and can get to 40 if well cared for.
Most stories about really old turtles (the giant snapper in the old farm pond, for example) are usually greatly exaggerated.
