Are Dwarf Puffer compatable with a Pepper Cory and an African Dwarf Frog in a 2.5 gallon tank?

I just bought a 29 gallon fish tank and set it up Sunday evening. When we set it up the 29 gallon air pump was not working so we were using a 10. I read somewhere that the tank didn't really need an air pump if it had a filter which it does. We got three zebra danios to start cycling the tank on Tuesday however we noticed that the fish were doing fine for a while and then they started hanging out at the top of the aquarium, shortly after they died. Not sure if this is due to the 10 gallon air pump or what?? The next day we emptied all the water, bought a 20-60 gallon air pump and put a bubble stone in the tank and another bubble thing in an aquarium decoration. I need to know what else I should do and how to cycle the aquarium correctly?
It is my first time owning an aquarium. I also need ideas on fish types to put in an aquarium.. I want molly fish but am wondering what else could go with them? gouramis? catfish? angel fish?

I just bought a Betta last night, he lives in a one gallon glass bowl and I purchased "color enhancing betta bits" by Top Fin to feed him. The back of the package says to feed him 3 to 4 pellets two times a day. The petsmart sales person said to feed him 2 or 3 pellets every other day. I am not sure which one to do. (I did not read theback of the pkg until I arrived home so I could not ask the saled clerk why he said one thing and the pkg said another.) Also I bought this fish for my 7 yr old daughter and if I am supposed to feed it every other day can I cut the amount in half so she can still feed it every day since I am afraid she may forget if its not a part of her regular daily routine? One last thing, my daughter found a large pretty rock that she wants to put in the fish bowl. Its just a rock from outside, is that ok if I rinse it good? I don't want to put something in the tank if it will make the fish sick.

I recently set up an aquarium, but I wanted fish so I know my tank is still cycling so still wanted to try Guppies. I had gotten 4 males then I ask the lady for the females which had 2! I had read something about if the males don't have another male the same color they'll attack eachother but I had bought them anyway. One of my females went belly up the second day I had them. I know it wasn't shock because she lasted atleast a day and she wasn't picked on at all. Then one of my males started getting nipped at and eventually died this afternoon. The second blue male I started to worry about because the other two males were nipping at him so I put him in a bucket until this weekend when I'll be able to get more female guppies. However he is not moving very much in the bucket and my dad warned me that the water temperature might be different, however they feel almost the same so is it shock or is he depressed?

sad to say but two of my stingrays have caught the velvet fungus....one of them(a female motoro) looks really sick and was bleeding over her body, the second (male motoro) has white patches over its left and right side. i was told by a trusted aquarium shop owner to add some aquarium salt and aquaclear and hope for the best (tho he also told me theres only a slim chance of recovery)....now, six hours later, the light bleeding\red sore has stopped and is covered with some white slime...but she looks a little better.....what is velvet?...how did i get it(no new fish)? any solutions? any preventatives? i was told it might even come from the store bought frozen krill or silversides.

I believe mine died during my battle with Ick. I cannot find them anywhere!

Do they whither away to nothing? Or did one (or more) of my fish eat them? I have 6 platys (2 different breeds), 2 black skirt tetras, a blue guarami, and a snail.

It behaves rather strangely. Usually when he gets out of his cave for some reason he'd whip himself against either the rocks or the side of the aquarium. Is there a reason for this?

I have the external type filter on my 55 gallon tank that has two charcoal filters in it. This type filter spills water back into the tank creating air bubbles on the surface.
I also have an air pump. Is it possible to have too many air bubbles in the water? Will it harm the fish?

They got it last week. In that time, i lost both goldfish (which i found out after i bought them that they shouldn't have been in there anyway.) i've also lost my pleco, a black skirt tetra, 2 ghost shrimp, and a molly.

My temp is at 84* and i cant seem to get it any higher. they have aquarium salt in their tank. I bought the dissolving tablets last week and it seemed to almost go away. after using that for a few days, they ran out, but i figured that the high temp and salt would help make sure the ick is gone.

well...i guess it wasn't. it came back full force on my other black skirt tetras. my platys dont seem to have it, nor my blue guarami. but they are staying in the tank for treatment just in case.

should i isolate my tetras since they have it the worst? their back fins now seem all torn away (fin rot?). i'm so worried i'm going to lose the rest of my fish. i started yesterday with quick cure , and it doesn't seem even the slightest bit better.

any advise?

Hello. I am planning to get two Green Spotted Puffers. There about two-three inches. I would want to know if a 10 gallon tank be okay for them? Would a 20 gallon long tank be better for them instead? How fast do GSP grow? Thanks.

I'm going to be gone on vacation for a week .. maybe longer .. and I have no one to babysit my betta .. any ideas?? I know goldfishes have those vacation food feeders (not sure what its called), do they have them for bettas also?

Where do I put my powerhead, and I am not using it for a under gravel filter, I have it towards the botttom I put it there for mixing a month ago, does it go by the top, it came with a hook to put it up there, alos a hose to add air should i add air to it?? By the way it is a Maxi-jet 660 i believe.

I love discus and I have the money to set up a good habitat for them (75 gallon, good filter, planted, expensive lighting), but I do not want to spend more than $60 total for fish. I was thinking maybe either:
-6 Discus and around 10 cardinal tetras
-1 Oscar and a common pleco
-4-6 Silver Dollars
-6 Angel fish

I want discus the most, but I may not be able to afford them. How much would 6 tank bred discus cost? How much a piece?

I don't know what is wrong with my angelfish, just tonight it has started to be really weak, and floating slightly around, the other fishes have been annoying it a bit but nothing loads.
