Gennerally, any type of puffer should be kept by themselves. They're aggressive and tend to nip fins of any fish in the tank with them. This will stress any other fish, and make them vuneralbe to infections. They're also very sensitive to water quality, and should have at least 5 gallons of mature (cycled and running for at least 6 months) tank space.

These fish are very aggressive and love to go after other fish. In addition, a 2 gallon tank is very tiny for any fish, let alone a territorial one like this. Plus cory catfish are grouping fish and don't do so great singly, though they'll survive for a time. You can try it if you want, strange things work sometimes, but prepare expect the worst while you hope for the best.
If you want a community tank, you should go with community fish.
Don't trust anybody at petsmart - most of the time they don't know much about it, though they'll say anything. Do your own research first and you'll always go into the store knowing more then they do.

I wouldn't recommend anything with a puffer in a 2.5 gallon tank, honestly thats even too small for the puffer. They are VERY aggressive little fish (even though places like petsmart have them labeled at community- WAY wrong) and like to pick on anything and everything in a tank with them.

Ah, thats a tough one! I think that you can put one puffer in there but he probably wont be happy because it is they are a schooling fish. Also cory cats are schoolers. If possible you should get a 10 gallon and have 3 puffers 3 corys and one dwarf african frog

your bulbs could desire to be effective provided you get hardy lowlight vegetation. as for the puffers, they simply do properly with puffers, they're aggressive fin nippers and could shred and harass the rest interior the tank, including different puffers. 2 male puffers can combat to the dying over women human beings. so once you're growing to be 4, get one male and 3 women human beings. the only fish that has ever been efficiently stored with DP's are otocinclus, yet otocinclus will in common terms thrive in mature tanks that are teaming with algae for them to eat.
