Depending on what species of fish you have?1,Guppies the male has a large flamboyant coloured tail, the females tail is a lot smaller 2 Sword Tails the male has a long thin tail the female does not have this sword appearance,3 Mollies the male has a larger dorsal fin than the female. In other species the Males are usually brighter in colour.if you were to pop along to your local library the may have books on tropical fish keeping or ask in your local pet shop. Then all you questions will be answered

Well ppl are able to figure out the gender by watching which ones give birth. Different kinds of fish have different ways of telling male/female... For a convict cichlid the stomach is red for a female. For a goldfish, the gills are white dots when pregnant

I don't know what kinda fish you have, but sometimes you can tell by colors like on cichlids

If you have tropicals, a male has a pointed anafin, which a female doesn't

For an xpert (or a bod wiv a decent book) it'd b fairly easy as a lot of varieties are actually different colours one genda to the other, also size quite often differs (one being substantially larger, not necesarily always the male). The other 1 is w8 to see if any of them give birth, usually a good indicator of genda.

Really depends what fish - but usually:
-Males are more colourful
-Males have bigger, brighter tail fins
-Females are duller in colour
-Females have larger bellies
-Females dorsal fin is spread like a fan whilst a males id flat and elongated (Gonopodium)

Thats just a generalisation of common fish

It really depend on the fish. If you list the species then it might more accurate.
