I don't know what is wrong with my angelfish, just tonight it has started to be really weak, and floating slightly around, the other fishes have been annoying it a bit but nothing loads.
Any ideas??!!! Urgent answers needed!!!!

The first place to start when any fish isn't behaving normally is with the water quality. Do you know what the ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate are for the tank? If not, and you have no way to test the water, try at least a 25% water change, and add the new water into the tank slowly (and remeber to add whatever you use to remove chlorine/chloramine from your water). The new water should be about the same temperature as the old.

You don't say how long you've had the tank running, but if it's relatively new, you may still be in the cycling process - this is when the tank builds up the bacteria needed to convert the wastes of your fish (which are toxic in relatively small amounts) into nitrate, which they can tolerate much better. Adding a new fish increases the wastes, so it isn't removed as quickly as it will be in a few months. Angels are sensitive to ammonia and nitrite, which are the toxic compounds.

Other things to check are for parasites (do you see white spots the size of salt grains or a grayish or fuzzy covering on your fish?) and if other fish in the tank have been harassing him, making him weak from not being able to feed.

First off check your water parameters. Even if everything seems okay, do a 50 percent water change. Angels respond better to clean water - which in my opinion is the best medicine.

I would separate the angel and put it into a hospital tank so you can monitor it closer...also add some salt in there.

You weren't quite specific with the symptoms so here goes me trying to guess haha.....

Gills breathing rapidly or gasping at the top for air - water quailty problem or gill flukes. If it is gill flukes, (the only sure way of telling is doing a gill scrape) treat with the medication "Lifebearer".

Has trouble balancing itself, in other words, looks like it's going on a rollercoaster - swim bladder disease. There is no known cure for this but I have heard that daily salt bathes can help as well as feeding the fish bolied peas. Some people have also experienced luck with the medication "Jungle Fungus Eliminator." In rare cases the problem corrects iitself on it's own.

Hiding, Listless, not eating, appears dark in colour, just over all weak - internal parasites. Try treating with "Jungle Internal/External Parasites". If it is way more serious (it must be in order to use this next medication) than you can try adding metronidazole right to the water. If it isn't and your fish is still eating, you can try purchasing medicated fish pellets (read the label to make sure it has 1% metro in it otherwise it most likely won't work). Be sure to soak them for about 5 to 10 minutes prior to feeding.

These are just a few of the diseases that sound like what your angel has....without further information, I can't really tell what is wrong.

Remember that angelfish are extremely delicate in that simple things like putting in water that is too cold or too hot can shock them. Poor water quality and overcrowding tend to stress them out more than other fish as well. You should never put nippy tankmates in. What size is your tank and what types of fish are in it??? Angels need at least 10 gallons each to avoid disease brought on by stress and territorial issues.

I hope this helped and I really hope your angel gets better soon.
