Now that I got the answer for my last question about needing an air pump or not I have another question.

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20070911192131AAfI11y

I have the external type filter on my 55 gallon tank that has two charcoal filters in it. This type filter spills water back into the tank creating air bubbles on the surface.
I also have an air pump. Is it possible to have too many air bubbles in the water? Will it harm the fish?

No,what you have is fine.I have three tanks and I have the water fall type you described plus an undergravel filter that hooks to an air pump.I have had my tanks for a long time and have healthy fish.

There is no such thing as to much oxygen in a fishtank

to minimize the bubbles created, you can either turn the flow back or put more water in your tank, that way your level is higher

Hope that helps
Good luck

except your fish attempt to stay as close as achievable to the exterior, i does no longer hassle. your clear out ought to aerate the tank adequate. if no longer, make effective the return water (out of your clear out) is above the water floor. If no longer something works, get a clean air pump

No, not at all. Not unless you create a minefield of airstones.
