It depends on the type of jelly. Some eat whole fish, while others feed on plankton. Some also have photosynthetic algae in their cells, so they "feed" at least partially on sunlight.

The ones here eat fish. That's why they have the long tentacle like stingers. Fish swim through them, get stung and stunned, and are eaten.
