In the last four days or so, we've lost 9 fish, 12 in the past week. They all had their tails bitten off. It's a relatively new tank, and by process of elimination the only fish that could be killing the others is a neon tetra. I'm down to the one neon tetra and two guppies (who were added after the carnage started). He's killed four feeders (which we put in first to test the waters, so to speak), three zebra danios, a small fantail goldfish, and four other neon tetras.

The only other explanation I can think if is the ghost of our old Convict Cichlid - he used to bite the fins off of feeder fish and let them drift. But I don't necessarily believe in ghosts, lol.

What the heck is going on?

I'm currnetly treating my three goldfish for fin rot with Maracyn-Two. This is the second day they've been on the medication and the water is getting really cloudy, so much that I can't even see the background I have for them. Is this normal, and will it clear up after the medication is done? Also, is there anything else I should be doing while my fish are on this medication?

I have a 29 gallon long with nothing but male guppies and 2 cory cats and a couple fry that I wasn't able to catch. One male suddenly up and died on me. I saw he was sick yesterday before I went to bed, he was shimmying at the top of the tank and his stomach cavity appeared to be caved in and he was refusing food. I was going to catch him out but I didn't even know what was wrong with him and my other fish were fine. There were nothing visible on his body that would indicate a parasite. If it was an intestinal worm wouldn't he be more bloated rather than caved in? I thought perhaps he'd get over it and if I moved him I'd just guarantee he'd die. He was dead when I woke up this morning. I decided to check all the parameters since my other fish are still acting normal. Everything is where it should be. What killed my fish?

I have two pot-bellied mollies (one black, one dalmation) and the dalmation likes to eat the plants. Could it be because the black one is more outgoing and territorial and often pushes the dal. away from the food?

Should i just let them eat the plant and replace it as necesary? Should i attempt to keep the dal fed by helping it get food over the black one? What can i do?

Ok, about 2 months ago, i posted about a silver molly that i was almost positive of it being pregnant. Well, it still has not had babies. And i have seen her mate with the other male at least 2 times. When will she have babies!??!?!?!?!?!

And , I have a sucker fish, but he is not helping at all. My tank is a 10g, with 7 fish, and the algue is getting worse and worse. I don't want to clean the cage, because i have no other tanks to put the fish in, and i don't want to buy any. How can i get rid of the algue easy, and with out having to take out all the fish, and rocks, and plants, and pots?

I would like to get one for work, but worry about leaving it over the weekend. Does anyone know if this would be okay as long as I feed it regularly during the week?

I have an algae eater in my tank right now but it starting to get too big. I'm thinking of giving it to my local pet store but I'm not sure if I should get a small one in its place.
I also have a few guppies and a beta in my tank.

Hi fish enthusiasts. I have had two Angel Fish in a community tank for about two years now, among guramis and tetras. They are healthy and have grown to full size. Recently, however, the slightly bigger one has started bullying the other. They've never been aggressive with each other before, but now one is totally dominating the other, and even nips. Is this normal? Some kind of social statement? A kinky love ritual? Will he fight till the other dies? I don't know a lot about Angels, so any insight would be appreciated. Thanks, in advance.
