Why does my fish tank have a clear milky mucous build-up on the cover!?????????

what could be wrong????

THat's most likely either mold or the start of algae growth on the cover. Either are just a result of warm temperatures and a humid environment. You can remove the cover and clean it away easily, but nothing safe for the tank will prevent it from growing back. It's just something that will have to be cleaned away from time to time.
