All the fish don't die for "no" reason, and "toxic water syndrome" just means that the person who tested the water had no idea what was happening. This is usually the case if the store was one of the "chain" pet stores that hire high school or college students with little real aquarium experience.

Does your daughter remember what tests were performed and the results? If these could be added with the question (use the pencil icon under this question to "add details") someone here can probably give you an idea of what happened. Also, any information about the tank (size, temperature, salinity, number and species of fish) might help.

take a water pattern to the community puppy shop and function them verify: ammonia point, nitrite point, and nitrate point and ya might as properly do the pH additionally. with the aid of poisonous bubbles I assuming you recommend nitrogen bubbles? i'm hoping you used aragonite sand (not play sand or silica sand). How a lot water did you alter any way? At Bert's puppy center, we propose a a million/third water substitute as quickly as a month. That keeps issues sstabilizednicely and changing greater suitable than that (eespeciallyless often) might desire to consequence in pH marvel if it swings a lot. additionally, did ya double verify the ssalinity(particular gravity)? each and all of the bubbles off the hydrometer pointer or are you making use of one that refracts (is optical)?
