I put her in a hospital tank with medicine, but I don't know if it will work or not. The medicine is called "Fungus Clear" and the active ingredients are: nitrofurazone, furazolidone, and potassium dichromate. The box states that: "Will clear fungus and bacteria fast!" Are cloudy eyes the sign of bacteria/fungii and will this medicine work?

If not... what can I do to save her?

I have a 65 gallon salt water aquarium that keeps getting that awful green algae on the rocks & bottom of the tank. I have cut down the time that the light is on, bought more snails & that still hasn't helped.

I am getting a 60 gallon tank. I want it to be very diverse with fish. I am only going to have a couple of plants. I am going to make it look like a saltwater tank but it will actually be a freshwater tank. I have already bought the white rocks and some colored fake coral. I was thinking about putting these fish in it;

ghost shrimps or cherry fire shrimps
angel fishs
ghost glass cats
Chinese algae eaters
powder blue dwarf gouramis
sparkling gouramis
threadfin rainbows
boesemani rainbows
hi fin lyretail swordtails
and maybe some bala sharks.

I am pretty sure that most of these except the bala and angel fish are community fish that will be fine together. Is this too many different types of fish to put together? Do any of these not get a long?

Ok as you may know from my last question, I am getting ready to get a used 40 gallon corner tank. What should my procedure be as far as setting it up?
Im thinking ill get it home, filll it up in the driveway, let it sit a day, if no leaks ill drain then the next day ill clean it and then the day after that I can set it up(with rinsed gravel and declor water) Then put the filter cartridge from the established ten gal into the hob filter of the 40, wait a week, add 2 fish, keep an eye on water params

So my question is for cleaning.......how much bleach then how much xtra declor should I add after

anything else im forgetting?

I just bought a Beta and I have it in my tank, with very little bit of plants and smooth small rocks, almost polished to a smooth glassy surface. I was wondering, what can I do to give this male beta beautiful long healthy fins. Almost sounds like a hair commercial, but I want it to be awesome looking. I have a 1.5 gallon tank. Its not the biggest but its bigger then what it was in, I also have a small place.

Food?
Water Temp?
Fish Mates?
Water purifying kits?

Just whatever information you can give me would be great!

By the way, since my fish is red with long red flowing fins. I decided to name it "SPARTAN!!!" Thought it would be appropriate due to the Beta's fighting nature and the movie 300! haha ;)

Alright, so I have been communicating with somebody via email about a 40 gallon corner tank for sale. Ive gotten the okay from both my mom and dad to get it, I just have to get my dad to take me to get it. He already said no to me, but mom said she will ask him, which is a completly different story.

So the tank is a 40 gallon corner. It comes with a hood, stand, filter and heater. Not sure of any brands, and the people are on vacation in the caymen islands right now so I cant really ask but they are getting back on thurday, and if I get a ride, ill be getting it next weekend.
So what am I going to need to get? Here is my list so far:
Api master test kit
Thermometer
Python
Gravel(how much of this do I need?)
filter cartridges
water condtioner

Anything else?

For the last two days or so my Green Spotted Pufferfish has been acting stressed and lethargic, turning a very dark color with black splotches on its stomach.

I recently noticed an odd lump in his stomach and up along his side above the stomach. The exlanation I came to was that he must have swallowed something distressing.

Will inducing vomitting solve this? Is there a way to do this with fish, one that will not be harmful to a scaleless fish like a puffer?

I have a large strawberry hermit crab in my tank. I also have a red algae problem, so we bought a sea urchin. It isn't one of the ones with the long spikes, I don't know what it's called. Well, we go downstairs and see the crab EATING the urchin. By the time we got the urchin off the crabs pincher, the shell was empty except fot the beak. What can we put in the tank to solve the algae problem, that the crab won't eat?
