Okay friends, another question here. Can all Goldfish live in 70 or above degrees Temp? I really need to know because if they can, and if warmer water will get the ICK and bacteria down, I'll do it if the Fish will stay safe and happy!

I have a saltwater aquarium that I just started setting up. The tank is 20 gallons, and I have 20 pounds of live rock in already. I plan on getting a bulb anemone or two later on. What fish would do well in my tank? I definitely want 1 percula clown, 1 purple firefish. I was thinking about maybe a yellow clown goby and damsel or chromis. I'm going for color...so I want a variety..clown is orange, firefish is purple, goby is yellow..and I want a blue damsel or chromis..Are there any other blue fish that would work better?

i THINK ive got a 29gallon tank! ive got 1 mollie, 1 dwarf gorami, 1 male betta, 2 red platys, 2 blue platys, 2 clown loaches, 2 kuhli loaches, 3 neons, and one leopard plec. do you think that is enough? or could i fit more in there? if so any ideas on some different fish to have in there? i'd like some bigger fish then the ones i have, ones that are not aggressive and will get on with my other fish. my tank measures L92cm W32cm H38cm, so if anybody could tell me how big my tank measures in gallons that would be brill to.
thanks

Okay, we had 2 Goldfish and a Pleco in a 10 Gallon and both Goldfish have already passed away believed by ICK and our Pleco may now have ICK, how do you cure this and if I was to put the Pleco in another tank and if it does indeed have ICK, would it harm my other fish?

Okay, lately when I've washed our 10 Gallon Fish tank I've used soap but is soap a mistake? And if so, why? I do rinse very well and I do it to try and keep the tank as clean and clear/beautiful as possible. If anyone can help me out it is greatly appreciated! God bless and thank you all very much! :)

I now have 2 crayfish. They don't chase or anything, but if one gets to close they'll snap at each other. I really wanted more, but if they hate each other that much then I'm sure it's not a very good idea. But I just want to know why 2 crayfish can't get along, but about 20-30 in an over-stocked petstore tank do? Makes no sense..lmao.

Unless all 30 just don't feel like having a big smack-down melee.

My fish have ick....!!!?
hi all
my fish have ick, and ive just bought some treatment to treat them with, the thing is i dont know how much to put in. so if i write what the intructions say could somebody kindly tell me...
dosage:-
fish saver should be used when water temp is between 21 and 33 degrees and cent
1) normal parasites (including white spot), fresh water fish gill diseases and gill parasites:
two to three consecutive treatments on alternate days (i.e. on the 1st, 3rd and 5th day)
during each treatment, add 8 drops of fish saver in each imperial gallon of water.
note: width x height x length x 6.23
1728

my tank measurements are:- L92cm W32cm H38cm
which i believe is about 29gallons (i could be wrong?)

can anybody tell me how many drops i should put in? and any other information you think i need to know would be brilliant.

thanks in advance

I'm thinking of getting my betta some plants...its so dark and empty in the bowl. The bowl is kinda small with little gravel at the bottom...some small plants can fit I guess. Any suggestions (not much sunlight...easy to take care of)? going to the aquarium to buy tomorrow night.

I have a 50litre tank. I cleaned the filter and the pebbles at the bottom ,and changed quarter to half the water out of it. The fish seem fine , but I noticed yesterday that two of my fish have these "tails of waste" you could say coming from them.It is really weird to see, and when he moves quickly, the line of waste breaks off. But 10 minutes later, its hanging again from him.The fish is about 2.5" long, and the line of waste coming from him can stretch to 4 or 5" long. Help me, I think he could be in a bit of trouble.

Hi, thanks for reading. My husband bought 4 fish less than 5 days ago. 2 silver dollar fish, 2 shark catfish (I think this is what they are, I spent 2 hours looking for similar fish online and this looks like them).

Anyway at feeding time we noticed one of the sharks on the bottom. When we put the net in to move it around, he half floated/swam on his side...now he is at the bottom not moving. I don't know if it is dead yet or not, I've never had fish before and I find this whole dying fish thing disconcerting.

The other fish seem fine- will they get sick also? The tank ran for about 3 days before the fish got put in there. My husband brought TetraMin tropical fish flakes....is this sufficient for them? As I did some reading it seems that fish should be eating a bunch of different food.

I don't know if it is too late for that one fish, but I would like to save the other three.

Thank you again.

The water was really dirty in my 10 gallon tank, so I changed about half of it. It initially seemed much cleaner, but then the cloudiness came. It is real cloudy and I have never had this problem before. Help.

So my fish store i go to locally has just gotten 2 small freshwater sting rays. I would love to have one but dont know to much about it. I have a 75 gallon fish tank with carious other fish and lots of plants as i lvoe plants hehe (even have the co2 setup). My question is the fish store guy said they are the smaller breed of sting rays and wont get much bigger then what they are know which if i have to guess is like errr 6 or 7 inches from left to right (not measuring the tail). Will he be ok in my tank? and i have gravel which i read is not the best but will work. or is this thing going to get like 20 feet long lol

My other half is getting a coral reef tank. At the shops I came across a stunning snowflake eel which I'd love to have as apart of the marine setting. Anyone know of pro's /con's of keeping eel's ? The tank is about 180 liters and we haven't really decided what fish to keep other than clownfish!
