That's about the equivalent of a 9 US gallon tank. You won't be able to put a lot of fish in it. I'd go with community/tropical fish, like tetras, danios, rasboras, platies, guppies, being mindful that with livebearers like platies and guppies, if you have males and females, they'll breed incessantly, and you'll quickly be overstocked. If you go with community/tropical fish, you can use the general rule of 1 inch of adult size fish per gallon. Those fish I mentioned above, on average get to about 2-3 inches, so you could safely get away with 5-6 of them. Most of the tetras though do best in groups of at least 3, they like to school. Most of the community fish will get along well with each other. Once in awhile you'll get a rogue fish that doesn't like anyone, but it's not that common with community fish. Here's a link with some fish profiles, click on the ones I mentioned to get a better idea of them. Good luck with your tank!!

An oscar or pacu in a 10 gallon tank? Come on....Pacu's shouldn't even be sold for aquariums, and oscars need a 55 gallon. Goldfish should have a 15-20 gallon.

that size tank is difficult to stock as it is so small. as mentioned before, this is about 9 US gallons, once you've added decor etc it will be closer to 8 US gallons.

HOWEVER you could try some of the following, of course not all lumped in together however:
Sparkling Gouramis
Honey Gouramis
Microrasboras
Pygmy Corys
Otocinclus
Endlers Livebearers
Myers/Pygmy Hatchetfish

most of these fish are tiny (1"-2") and low waste producers, so will allow for a little overstocking, especially if the tank is well filtered and planted. bear in mind these fish will prefer a LONG tank rather than TALL.

so you could try:
3 male 6 female endlers + 4 pygmy corys
OR
1 male honey gourami + 6 spotted rasboras + 4 pygmy corys
OR
1 male sparkling gourami + 5 pygmy hatchetfish + 3 otocinclus

OR of course you could have a single Betta to lord it up, maybe with trio of otocinclus tankmates.

AVOID THE FOLLOWING:
Danios - too active
Neon Tetras - too active
Swordtails - too large
Mollys - too large
Plecs - too large & too much waste
Sucking Loach/Algae Eater - aggressive and too large
Oscars/Pacus/Piranhas - too large
anything called "shark" - too large

remember to independantly research each fishes requirements before purchasing! and of course cycle your tank before adding any fish at all.

I suggest to stick with community fish. Mollies, Swords, Tetras, Graummi,Barbs. No Gold fish ( they release ammonia ). Get a few each. They will get along. Now if you want a more colorful tank, you can go with the aggressive type. Chicilds, Oscars,Bala sharks, Jack Dempys. But always ask the clerk. Have fun!

i would try a few sword tails mollies guppies or platys.
remember, one inch of fish per gallon so maybe 6 to 8 small fish would work..

Like gold fish?
You can have fantails , black moores , comets , oranda 's the list goes on. I have a tank of similar size , there are 2 medium sized fantails and 2 baby koi! Probably have room for another - happy fishing!

Everyone will probabyl tell you goldfish, but no if you buy goldfish you have no testicles. What you wanna do is go buy a Tiger oscar, or a couple of Pacus.
