I have a 15 gallon tank,in it are 8 glowlights and 13 neons.
The were living peacefully as they should because glowlights and neons are tetras and have a peaceful temperament but i suddenly see my small glowlight with a broken fin chasing the others that are schooling together.
This is my first problem by far.
My glowlights and neons are schooling together except my small glowlight with a broken fin.
How can i fix this?
I dont want to buy a seperate tank because i already have two, this one and another one with a flower horn that has a very aggresive nature.
Oh,the small glowlight,it occupies half, and i mean half the tank.

I have a ten gallon heated fresh water tank and feed flake food. I have 1 betta and six neon tetra. These are doing fine. But I can't keep my ghost shrimp alive. They keep dying on me. Do they need any special care I don't know about?

Thanks for all the answers. They are in a 2ft tank and are about 1cm in length. Their pH level is between 6.8 & 7.2. The filter has been running for a week. I have not checked nitro levels though...how do i do that? I just looked at them and one is beginning to swim around but the other is still floating on a slight lean.

I live in Queensland and have just purchased some Oscars. I do not have a heater as yet as the temperature here gets up into the 30's. Today was 29C. Do you think that I should purchase a heater for them? Also their tank water was aged and at the appropriate pH but they are still just sitting around....i thought that as it is day 2, they should be swimming aroung by now????
Any answers will be greatly appreciated.

I have 3 gold fish in a small tank (6 gallon). I just bought a 29 gallon tank today but I am waiting to give it 24 hr before I move them in. I am worried because they are hanging around the top of the tank I worry they are lacking oxygen. I do have a filter in the small tank, so why are they hanging around the top? Does a filter keep oxygen levels up? Thank you

We have a fishtank with about 6 fish in it, all of different breeds but they all get along. We have one fish, i think it is a molly, and it has babies nonstop! I am sure this is the fish having babies because she is very FAT constantly and she has one baby that lived and is almost as big as her. Thats right, she had a baby fish and she protected it and didn't eat it she even chased away the other baby- hungry fish. This baby is now quite big, looks exactly like mom and hangs around mom. BUt recently she had about 40 babies and they are all swimming around the top, yet she is still fat. She doesn't try to eat them and chases the others once again with her big baby's help. Who could she be mating with? The other fish are a clownfish, a platy , and 3 neon tetras. This is odd that she also protects her babies. Why? This is all confusing to me.

I just got a south american puffer and the person at the fish store said he'd be okay eating just flake food for a few weeks, so i didn't need to buy snails or worms yet. Well i've had him 5 days and he still hasn't eaten anything. I'm scared he's going to strave. Is there anything that i might have around the house that i could feed him? Or if you have any advince of south american puffers, let me know. Thank you so much.

it seems like i have asked this samequestion 100 times but i still arent sure!

I have 4 guppies, 1 snail, 1 small aquaic frog, 2 marble shrimp, 5 glolight tetras(soon to be 7). I have room for about 6-8ish inches of grown fish in my tank! i was thinking about 1 or 2 pearl gouramis but i went to Petco the other to day to get a filter and to look @ teh critters and i didnt see any pearl gouramis!

any suggestions for fish about that same size that would be compatible and colorful?

thnx and Happy holidays!!!

Do you believe Yahoo games word racer should have the word
>>"Ick" Ick is a common term for a common fish disease
I experienced with caring for goldfish. The disease is also known
as gill or fin disease, which is characterized first by symptoms
of tiny white spots or bumps on a fish body.I believe it is a legitamate word, I always happen to find this word in racer.
But then Yahoo racer it says " ick " is not a word, and they then may remove ten points.
What do think about "ick"and fish or ick in Yahoo racer otherwise?
Answer both or which ever one..
