Sometimes. I have heard of them playing with people in water that the people could stand in.

Yes most dolphins feed in deeper water, however their resting behavior is often spent in shallow water. This "resting" behavoir is not like human sleeping, it can be wave surfing on shallow beach breaks to lounging in the sun. This is also shown in the interaction between dolphins and boats, they are surfing the bow wake, and this is concidered to be "resting" behavior.

They will some times when they come out to feed or are scared in by a boat, but they may get beached so they do not make a habbit of it.
and just to let you know you put this under the fish catigory, and dolphins are not fish...

Probably so since sharks attacks can happen in 3 feet deep water. I've seen dolphins that close to the shore.

Yes, they do. According to the TV bottle-nose dolphins will even come right up to the shore when hunting so that they can drive fish out of the water and then snap them up.
(By the way, dolphins are air-breathing mammals, they are not fish.)

Sure. They love playing in water gradients, that's why they lead boats around. They also sometimes hunt along the beach. Occasionally, they can get confused and beach themselves. If they beach again after being rescued, contact the authorities. They sometimes get confused when parasites get into their sonar organs, and need help.

maximum fish or perhaps small sharks are agile sufficient to show themselves decrease back into the water till there is something incorrect with them (i've got stumbled on beached fish till now), maximum super fish stick to deep water, yet i've got heard of extensive sharks getting beached in areas of the international the place the tides are very dramatic. there are a number of theories approximately why whales coastline themselves, we could settle on that till now we are able to start to wager why sharks do no longer seem to get beached as usually.
