Im thinking of getting a puppy that is half German Rott and half Blue pit.I have never been really big on mixed breeds but i know both parents of this puppy and they have good personality's. Does anyone out there have this breed of dog? I would like to hear about the temperment and size of yours.

About six months ago, our bulldog started "stalking" my husband when he is getting ready for work. When my husband starts to put on his work clothes (tie, dress shirt, etc.), our bulldog starts following him around the house, circles him, with his head lowered in an aggressive manner. One day my husband reached down to try and pet him when he was doing this and our bulldog snapped at him. Our bulldog is almost 4 yrs old and neutered. He is sweet and gentle except for when my husband leaves for work. Any thoughts on what is causing this or how to stop it? I usuaally have to put our dog in another room until my husband leaves the house.

My work location moved a few months ago and there is a dog food plant about a mile away. It usually just smells like dog food when you walk outside but other days (depending on the wind) it is the worst immaginable smell possible. What could that smell be??? (I have an idea but am in denial.)

I belive they make food for Wal-Mart & Sams dog food.

he is constantly searching for crumbs and this morning i caught him digging up a pet fish that i burried about six months ago. i know that dogs don't know when to stop eating but if i feed him more substansiously and less often would that work?

'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse

The stockings were hung by the chimney with care
In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there

The children were nestled all snug in their beds
With no thought of the dog filling their head

And mamma in her 'kerchief, and I in my cap
Knew he was cold, but didn't care about that

When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter
I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter

Away to the window I flew like a flash
Figuring the dog was free of his chain and into the trash

The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow
Gave the luster of mid-day to objects below

When, what to my wondering eyes should appear
But Santa Claus - with eyes full of tears

He un-chained the dog, once so lively and quick
Last year's Christmas present, now painfully thin and sick

More rapid than eagles he called the dog's name
And the dog ran to him, despite all his pain

"Now, DASHER! now, DANCER! now, PRANCER and VIXEN!
On, COMET! on CUPID! on, DONNER and BLITZEN!

To the top of the porch! To the top of the wall!
Let's find this dog a home where he'll be loved by all."

I knew in an instant there would be no gifts this year
For Santa Claus had made one thing quite clear

The gift of a dog is not just for the season
We had gotten the pup for all the wrong reasons

In our haste to think of the kids a gift
There was one important thing that we missed

A dog should be family, and cared for the same
You don't give a gift, then put it on a chain

And I heard him exclaim as he rode out of sight
"You weren't given a gift! You were given a LIFE!"

I have heard that sometimes people who are allergic to dogs can still own a breed such as a Scottie without too many problems. Are there any medium to large breeds that would also work?

Thanks!

He hasn't injured himself, nothing broken. Happened out of the blue. One back leg totally dragging on floor and the other he can use a little bit. Vet says to keep him quiet (he is very quiet since it happened anyway...not himself at all) and took blood tests and will see him again monday. He looks very sad and is not eating much. Anyone got any advice or had a similar experience please???

My dog has a bone and she had chewed a bit off it. My Mum put that bit on the window ledge because she thought it would be a bit dangerous. I just saw my dog jump up and grab it. I said 'no' and tried to grab it off her but I think she swallowed it.

I'm not sure how big it was (my Mum has gone to bed). Will she be ok? Will it come out the other end?

Thank you.

Okay so...this dog isn't mine, it's my mother in law's..and I'm staying here for a couple of months while my house gets built. I have a cat, she's full grown and all...It's a female about 3 years old and a pure-bred Boston Terrier. She humps my cat (which I know is a dominance thing) but the WORST!!! thing, is that she uses my cat's litter box... she does both 1&2 in there!! I have NEVER, in all my years, EVER seen something like this..not to mention, she has other issues with the bathroom thing, she pees in my bedroom on a regular basis, and poops on the carpet all the time. She's been to the vet, there are no problems with her at all..she's healthy. I've heard of dominance issues but this is just nasty you guys..help me out here. How do I get this dog to stop being so terrible? She's spoiled, eats my kid's food out of her hands all the time, chews on everything..then this, it's just getting bad!

Hello, my dog has seizures and the other day she had one and fell on the bricks at the fireplace. Well I noticed it seemed like her sight to smell was off, well I have paid more attention and she seems to be blind in one eye. I can wiggle my finger in front of it and she doesn't budge, but the other one she backs away, so she can't see out of it. Also, I was looking closer at it and it seems it is swollen on the outside of the eye. It seems kinda like a black eye or something for a human and she can't see well out of it. Do you think this is serious or do you think it will go down? I am a broke college student and have spent so much money to get the seizures looked at and it doesn't help they can't help me they just put her on medicine so that's a waste of 300 dollars a trip. If it is serious then NO DOUBT I will take her to the Vet, I'm just trying to avoid another 300 dollar Vet bill. Booo!! Please help!!

I just wanted to know How Stable you think my pack of Rescued Pitbulls is. Most will think these dogs fight each other but with the right owner I beleive that any dogs can learn to live with each other as you see mine have.

None have ever fought each other and get along pretty well.

I have a pic of my pitties and I did all Behavior and command training myself.

i need something to keep her in while we go out.... right now, she's got run of the house, and she's managed to chew up every pair of shoes she can find, a truck load of socks, and a couple of ball caps.... not to mention all the toys that my two daughters leave laying around. if i leave her out in the back yard, she digs under the 6 feet tall privacy fence, and under the little electric fence that we put down the around the bottom to keep our former pets from digging out. the neighbor has cats, so it is a problem if she gets out.
what is the best kind of cage/pen?

thriving city to have the animal rescue show in? I am thinking it's easier to film for the producers because of the pretty much year round sunny weather, and it seems like there are tons of dogs, cats and horses to rescue in that part of the country.

Our dog is a female Queensland Heeler and she is 3 years old. Whenever we hold up a can that even resembles an air freshener aerosol can (i.e. hairspray, PAM, flashlight, etc.) then she goes into freak mode, she bites at the can. Does she hate the noise or does she enjoy it? What can we do? She is the most loving dog and we hate that she acts this way. Please help or else we might have to call the Dog Whisperer!!!!!

My dog who just recently had 10 puppies has been pooping all over the house while we are not home or are sleeping. and she tears stuff up and gets into the trash, too, but she has plenty of food/water. We can't leave her out side, cause it's too cold and the pups are too young. and they don't star weaning for another week! My mom wants to send all the pups to the humane society and say their mom dog can't take care of them! But i love all of them sssoooo much! I am just getting really PISSED that i have to keep cleaning up after my dog!!!! what do i do to get her to stop pooping and peeing and generally making a huge mess? i don't want my mom to get rid of the pups! HELP!!!!
