You need to take her to another vet and get a second opinion. Did your vet prescribe anything for her at all? Sounds like arthritis and old age but there are medications to help her joints and alleviate her pain. Poor baby. Good luck.

Hi,
The trouble of sitting standing and walking is a sign of her age. The tenderness in the ribs is from you having to carry her everywhere. The same for her foot because you are putting pressure on the leg when you carry her and put her down. Try giving her raw egg with some honey and whip it up. This will help settle her tummy and naturally reduce the fever. You are at point when most vets have their hands tied because of the age of the dog. They would rather not say anything to you and believe it or not it all comes down to finances with most vets. I would see another vet for a second opinion. Also just prepare yourself and enjoy what time you have with your dog.
Hope this helps!

She could have sustained a bad knock to her leg and ribs, that is why she cries when touched there. Could she have been hit by a car or kicked? Also DO NOT give her human medication- some of these can kill dogs!
Ask the vet for some paif relief- you'll get it, and never give your dog human medication, despite what others may say, or use another dog's pain relief medication. Use only what the vet prescribes. Your vet will give you tablet that will be most effective in treating the pain. I'd also suggest trying a new vet.

I'm surprised the vet would let you out of the office without any recommendations for relief for your dog. Based upon what you have said it sounds like more than just arthritis. Take her to another vet, the poor dog's in pain. Good luck.

Your dog obviously has something going on with it. Did the vet xray the dog? Is it possible that she/he was injured in some way? She sounds like she has an infection. Get a second opinion if you need to, in order to rule out what is going on with her.

ask another vet. Its very strange, that you take your dog to a vet, and he can not explain to you why your dog is in pain.
at those ages, dogs usually start to have all kind of different problems.
