I have a 1 week old puppy that hada bacterial infection that caused his digits on his hind legs and half of his tail to turn black and fall off. hes on meds and it is not spreading, it is healing, will he ever beable to walk normal? his feet are gone in the back, he only has stubs. the vet is still not sure what caused this to happen, the other puppy is normal.

I have my doubts that he will be able to walk. Poor little one. :(
Please don't have him euthanised. He will probably end up being an amazing dog. Either keep him yourself, or find him a good home with people who will give him the love he deserves. If he's otherwise healthy, he will adapt to this disability, because he'll know nothing different.
Edit: After reading your additions, I would wager to guess that he'll learn to adapt to this and will probably be able to walk. As I already said, since he'll have known nothing different, he doesn't have to 're-learn' how to walk. I'm sure he will grow up to be a wonderful little dog. I don't think I'd be able to part with him. I'm so bad with parting from my little grandpuppies anyways. I'd be too afraid the new owner wouldn't take care of him properly.

Don't even hope for it - euthanase.
1 week old is far too young to need treatment of any kind, and such a devastating bacteria is sure to have caused damage that you can't yet see - the kidneys & the liver are almost certain to have been damaged by such a massive infection before the pup can even control its body temperature.
According to your description, to walk - not "normally", just to WALK at all - it would, just like a human who has had feet amputated, need a prosthetic foot attached to each stump - and with the speed that puppies grow you'd probably need a new one every week.
Without the prosthetics it will be putting its weight on unpadded bone stumps. Eek - I hate anything just TOUCHING the stump of my amputated finger. I don't want to even think about walking on an unpadded ankle!!!!
At present the pup cannot localise where the pain comes from - its brain doesn't "switch on" until some time on day 21 - and anyway its weight is taken on its belly. But in 2 weeks' time.....
You must have done a lot of weeping and pleading to get your vet to not euthanase & autopsy the pup when you took it in.

puttin the dog down, to me, is NO option at all!! i hope you wouldnt do that.
he should be fine with the walking, some dogs with 3 legs walk, act, and run normal. its hard to really know what exactly your talking about because you first said it was his hind legs, then the back of his feet, then u said he doesnt have claws. veiwing a picture would help! you will just have to wait and see how he does, at this age, he hasnt even really started to walk yet, just drags himself. pups arent strong enough yet at this age. wait it out, and give the poor little guy a chance,
edit: oh so he doesnt have the pads that protect his feet? this is just on the hind legs?? if so, i agree, u can always get a doggy wheelchair (made for dogs), look in the "dog fancy" magazine (u can usually find it at a vets office) or dogfancy.com
if this were me, i would still try to keep the dog alive and let him live a happy life, he desrves it, look into the doggy wheelchairs.

once you're taking your puppy out please pay interest to it truly is body language. proceed it truly is ahead circulation and preserve interest on you. This initial advent to the international is yet another device on your dogs coaching. there'll be different animals contained locally. by your route your dogs will both be an miraculous significant different or a handful anytime you're taking it for a stroll. something you enable it to do as a puppy it is going to do as an total grown dogs. Barking isn't suitable! aggressive habit isn't suitable! you'll optimistically get the perception. pay interest.

Don't give up on him. Dog are amazing creatures. Look at this video that shows what dogs can overcome. His subs will probably work fine.

It will probably have to have a doggy wheel chair when it is older but you also need to think of the dogs life. maybe euthinasia is your best option.
