No, he's not purebreed - definitely mixed with something else. Some other type of shepherd, it looks like.
Great lookin' dog, though.

It's hard to tell from the pics you've posted. A full head shot and a standing body pose showing the whole side in a "conformation pose" would help. That said, IF he is purebred, I'd say he's definitely strayed pretty far from the breed standard, given the pics you've posted. Not to say he's not purebred. I've seen some dogs in different breeds from BYB or PMs that look VERY little like the breed they're supposed to be. I have a friend that has a "CKC registered dachshund". Um hum....yeah...sure she is. I know where that little gal came from, and I'd bet my pay check that daddy was the breeder's yorkie male. She sure looks like a "yorkshund" to me.... Yet she is represented as a purebred. Not that the people give a rip.....they got her for a pet, she's sweet, and thankfully healthy....and they love her to death. I also know of another gal who showed chis. Had a chi b*tch accidentally get bred by a pom male. Well....in this litter of mixed breed puppies was a little gal that was just soooo gorgeous. They put AKC papers on her (since there were no blood typing or DNA requirements to register puppies it's easy to do) and showed her and finished her championship quickly as a long coat chihuahua. Ahhhh....the things that go on.....

deifinitely not a purebreed, but that is in no way bad thing as some people seem to think... anyway, there is no certain way of knowing exactly what breeds are in him without knowing the parents and grandparents and so on... =] congratulations on the new dog, no matter what breed he is, he is a very nice looking dog and im sure he'll make a great companion

Although huskies do come in reds, the dog you have there is definately a mixed breed. It's bone and facial structure are a bit different to that of a purebred husky, as well as the eyecolour is a dead giveaway. It's still a beautiful animal though.

He looks like he is a mix, but mostly Husky. His body looks more like the body of a lab than a husky and has a little longer nose. So I would say lab/husky but mostly husky
