we had fleas back in september/october.

we havent seen any for weeks and weeks now, but were scared to run heating on incase it bring em back out

do u think it would?

SURELY they would have hatched by now on their own as its been weeks and when we first had them on dog they were multiplying WITHOUT heating as we didnt have it on but they still muliplied?

are we being ridiculously over cautious by not putting heating on??????

please reply

My 4 month old Shiba Inu is on Frontline plus and still has some fleas on him occasionally, on top of that I see that he has dry skin. When I pet him I see flakes of skin. I also am noticing that he is losing fur, maybe shedding? I know shibas shed 2 times a year...
SOOOO....would it be a good idea to take him to a dog groomer to get him professionally bathed/flea dipped to help with dry skin?
OR would it be too harsh on him to get a flea dip since he has dry skin?
Don't tell me to take him to the vet to get him checked out...he has an appointment on Friday anyways...

My 4 mos. male lab will get into his favorite spot, on the back of the couch at night, and just about when his eyes are to go completely closed he will move and wiggle around, he will do this over & over again until he finally falls asleep. It reminds me of a baby fighting sleep. Just wonder if any of you had a puppy or dog that did this.

my little chihuahua maltese mix just got her stitches out on her head. she still has a bit of a scab on her head and i forgot to ask the vet if she still needs the collar on to prevent her from scratching.
i will call them in the morning as they are closed for the night but i was just curious! what do you all think? would it be ok for her to sleep without this thing again? or could she scratch open her wound again? thanks

Sometimes I feel that the vet is trying to milk some more money out of me by doing things like telling me that he's keeping the dog for observation and don't know when the dog will be allowed to leave his office and he's giving the dog saline for dehydration but my dog isn't sick or show any signs of distress, he was in the office for annual checkup and vaccinations. So can a vet legally force me to leave my dog for supposed rehydration for days on end?

My precious little Italian Greyhound was torn in half by a speeding car six months ago. I buried him in my back yard.

I'm in the process of building a new home on a different property and want to take him with me so that he can be buried there with my home.

I don't know if I should do this myself. Seeing him so torn up made my heart hurt more than I ever thought possible. And now he's been wrapped up in his favorite blanket, buried for six months. Would you be able to emotionally do it? Should I ask someone else to move him for me? Sorry for such a sad question.

Hello all. My wife and I are looking for a Tibetan Terrier pup.

My mum has had Tibetan Terriers previously and while I know Tibetan Terrier pups aren't that difficult to find as in years gone by, it's still not easy to find local breeders. And of course there are the inheritable genetic defects to take into consideration.

My wife has previously had a West Highland Terrier which recently had to be put to sleep due to old age. My wife would like to get another West Highland Terrier pup and I would like get a Tibetan Terrier pup and we'd like to get them roughly at the same time so they can grow up together. But obviously while West Highland Terrier are readily available, Tibetan Terriers aren't so much.

Does anyone have any contact of breeders in Lancashire (or nearby counties) please?
