I had a friend over for the weekend and apparently they carried fleas into my home. How do I get rid of them safetly? I have a 2 year old child and I don't want to use poison if I don't have to but I need to get rid of them in a hurry. Thanks so much!!

The real violation here is Ellen lambasting M&M publically, demonizing them so everyone in the world can hear.

Why the hell can't she complain privately? Does she think her status as a celebrity gives her the right to use "public pressure" to force the adoption agency to comply even though she violated the terms of her contract? Those adoption agencies have very specific guidelines for good reason.

What about those 2 kids? So what!!, those kids had the dog for 2 WEEKS ONLY. They weren't THAT attached to the dog for god sakes.

Ellen gave the dog up and in doing so forfeited her right to decide the dog's fate. Now I'm pretty sure that dog's going to have a wonderful home anyways, if I thought otherwise I'd be on Ellen's side. But are there any really people out there that think that dog's going to be tranfered to a terrible home? I don't think so, end of discussion.

Ex.
If you have had a dog since birth and you have gave it nothing but love, but one day you pick up the newspaper to read and it cowers down and sneaks away.

I have an intact male (AKC show dog), my mutt (spayed) was obviously playing with a female who was in heat at the groomers today and now my mutt smells like she is in heat...but she was fixed 6 yrs ago. My male is going CRAZY!! Any suggestions on getting the scent off my (fixed) female? I gave her another bath, but it obviously didn't work. I don't have any Vick's either...grrrrrr

Why do people keep trying to tell other people that there is no such things as a toy breed, or teacup ect? Do you people yet realize ITS A SIZE!? Duh, go get a breed book for everyone elses sake and stop trying to tell people that they're irresponsible, ignorant or any other such wording that only serves to down on people who really have better things to do than be insulted. A toy size of a breed may be a runt in some litters but in other...thats the purpose of breeding them! To keep getting toy sizes from toy sized dogs. Sheesh imagine that.

I've washed him, cut the hair away from his butt, but he still gets it stuck on whatever remaining hair there is. How do I correct this without having to shave him like a poodle?

people keep saying they have a teacup chi or pom, but breed standard says these dogs are suppose to be 2 to 6 pounds, I have no why you'de sell someone a 3 pound chi and say it's a teacup, that's the breed standard. So are there 1 pound dogs out there or what? And what's an applehead chihuahua?

Some people have said they think she is mixed with a min pin, here is a website with of pictures of chihuahua/min pin mixes:

I asked this question a couple of days age, and a lot of people said that she looked like a dachshund. Here is a link to a page with a lot of pictures of them.

She says its a virus and thinks he is over the worst part of it. He is very hoarse and cant bark.
He has started eating again and has an appetite.
He was caught by the dog catcher and put in the pound 3 weekends ago, and has been sick ever since I brought him home.
A lady who lives 2 blocks from me claims to be a vet tech and calls every complaint imaginable on my dog. The police have been here, He has been in the pound once. She sent her husband to my house to complain he was running around town and she was going to impound him. He was not loose, he was in the machine shop in the garage sleeping on the floor.
There are about 4 or so labs in our area. We live in a farm community and she really is working on my last nerve. The dog runs in a fenced in back yard and slipped away 3 times in 4 yrs. Everyone in our area have dogs to keep druggies out of the farm chemicals etc.
Im mad because he was in the pound and now is very sick.
What can I do to help the situation?

When my vet said my dog had flea allergies, she also said that he had a yeast infection, though didn't help me out much with what to give him. She just said antifungal meds.. Is there any kind of human pills that can help, and maybe shampoo? I've read that there are certain things that help, but I've only been able to find it in a brand of dandruff shampoo. I can't use creams because he's got it damn near all over his body. So, any one got some suggestions for shampoo and oral medications? I know of one little 'set' I can buy online, but I can't afford that.

OK So I work from home... and I hear this crying puppy. A maltese .. that looks like this: http://www.usapetstoday.com/Maltese_Terrier.htm and it is about the same size as my hand only hairier.

So I go over there to se if it is caught or something... but when it sees me it runs away.. so I sit down and it runs up, licks me to death and tehn falls asleep within seconds under my feet.

Now, I am not a person sensitive to emotions but I figure.. this puppy is lonely... never been left before. So I went home and left it there asleep.

I do not want to keep going over there while my neighbour is away and the dog needs to get used to being on its own all day... so what do you do with a puppy that's crying? Is there a toy or sommat? Music? what?

I have a 3 year old boxer and my in-laws have 2, 1 year old golden retreivers. About 3 weeks ago my husband had surgery and like a baby, wanted to stay at his parents house. So we brought our boxer over and we stayed there for about 3 days. Now, 3 weeks later his mom called and said that my boxer had bit one of her dogs and it had to have surgery and she is very mad. I am pregnant and now my husband says we have to talk about giving up the dog because the vet told his mom that boxers are bad with kids. I know my boxer will not do too good with the baby but everything that I have read says they are great with kids. Now my questions are, 1) If my dog "bit" theirs, how come there were 5 people that were in the house and not one of them noticed? 2) After 3 weeks, the wound was so small that 5 people didnt notice, wouldnt it have had time to get better? 3) How does she know that it was even my dog? How does she know that their other dog didnt do it while playing or it happened outside?

my pug is due to have puppies any day now. I've done my research and built a whelping box and everything, but this will be the first time I deliver puppies. Right now she is laying in her whelping box and she looks calm, but she is shaking and breathing heavy through her nose, but not panting. How long do you think it will be before she has her puppies?
