Preferable bay area....
We are looking to get one. So any breeder input would be great.

I worked with http://www.badrap.org/rescue/ when I lived in the bay area. They do great work and thanks to them SF is one of the more pit friendly cities these days! They have good info on whether or not a bully is right for you and are committed to education about breed specific laws and dog welfare in general.

The link below has all the stattordshires that need good homes in California. %60 of all dogs in shelters are pure bred and most have been temperament tested and are loving dogs just looking for a family. I bet you can't go to the link with out saying awww on every page!

I'm not sure if yahoo would be the best place to find a pit bull breeder. Sometimes, you may even have to be willing to travel to find a good pit bull from a reliable background. Many times, local animal shelters have pit bulls. Sometimes, they even have puppies.

Shelters are FULL of pit bulls because they are so heavily bred and the last to get adopted. Check with any shelter or just look in the paper; there are always tons of ads.
