How do u train a dog for a frisbi sport??

have siberian husky and i want to train her for disc sports how do u start?????

First thing to do is get her interested in playing with the disc. If she has absolutely no interest put it in a draw and act like a clown when you pull it out for a couple of days - like it is the most exciting thing you've ever seen. (you will feel like a goose, but trust me it works!) Don't let you dog touch it, get them to want to touch it, but don't let them.

Next step is to let the dog touch it for just a second and then put it away again until they are that crazy for it they have to play with it.

Next step - throw it about 1m just to the side of them (don't throw it straight in their face - too confronting) and they will catch it - make sure they bring it back (train fetch if you have not already).

Then from there just extend the distance. One of mine will catch at about 10m, but finds it a bit boring so we don't go out any further, the other one will catch at 30m plus without a problem.

Make sure you get a dog-safe disk, not a frisbee. The frisbees tend to break and crack dog's canine teeth. The new softer ones made for this sport are MUCH safer for the dog's mouth.
