Firstly, take her to your vet and ask for Advantage Flea Treatment. Its a liquid in a very smal tube that is squeezed between her shoulder blades. Don't put in on her right away though. Once you're back from the vet, bath her, dry her thoroughly, then apply the flea treatment. Take her and yourself out of the room and treat the whole room, curtains, skirting boards, sofa's,carpets etc with StayKill Flea Spray. Stay out of the room for at least an hour then do all the other rooms in your house, including your bed and hers and the bathroom! Pay every attention to every nook and cranny in your house, those little devils will nest anywhere! Keep up the flea treatment on her every so often and you'll never have another flea in your house, or on your dog, ever again! Good luck.

Flea collars don't work. Neither does anything from pet stores because stores aren't licensed to sell chemicals that actually work, they can only sell general insecticides.
You need to get something from a vet. You can pick up Frontline or Advantage without having to take the dog in - Revolution is also a good one, and treats roundworms as well. Apply any of these spot-ons to the skin on the back of your dog's neck (not her fur) and you will have saved her!
You may also need to spray your house, but these spot-ons will kill all fleas on your dog within 24 hours and protect him for at least a month (2 months in for Frontline). Capstar is a tablet that kills all fleas within a few hours, but doesn't prevent reinfestation.
I repeat: stay away from anything from stores. And any dumb 'home remedies' people on here may suggest!

Don't waste your money on flea collers, or all the flea stuff on the shelves at the market. My Vet told me most of that is not regulated and just has terrible stuff in them not all but most. Frontline.....is great.....along with the Sentinel...tabs...Only the vet can give you the Sentinel because the animal has to be tested for heartworms before they can give the Sentinel. Each is a once a month thing.....I learned the hard way and bought tons of different stuff over the last few month....what a waste of time and OMGosh the money.....and the misery I put my dog thru.........The Vet was the best thing, and those 2 times together are great.......One of them actually sterilizes the fleas from reproducing fertile eggs....Hence, the cycle stops....

You should go to the vet. Or you could buy some flea medicine that gets rid of fleas and prevents the fleas from coming back.

Fleabomb your place. Air your place thoroughly for at least a couple of hours afterwards and also be sure to vacumn. Remember your pets are near the ground.
Then get some Advantage and put it on your dog.
Do NOT use flea collars and/or sprays. They could be toxic when used with something else, and are also useless. We tried spraying and spraying and the infestation only got worse. The method I mentioned above was the only way we got rid of the fleas.

Frontline is awesome. You also will need to wash all of your bed linens and vacuum all of your rugs and bug bomb/spray for fleas. You can get the flea killing spray in the pet aisle at Wal-mart or Target. If you prefer to avoid chemicals, I give my dogs garlic tablets once a day. You can get them in the vitamin aisle. Fleas are repelled by garlic. Note: You will want to take the garlic tablets for the first couple weeks of giving the tablets to your dog because you don't want the fleas to bite you instead.

Go get her front line and put it on, it'll get rid of the fleas, then flea bomb the hell outta your house. You house is infested as well if you dog goes in the house. Once you get rid of the fleas on your dog, they will still be in the house. And you can call any vet and ask what you should do about your dog being infested with fleas and they'll most likely tell you to use frontline too.
p.s. flea collars aren't very good at preventing or getting rid of fleas.

Wash her in Dawn dishwashing liquid, and let it sit on her for a few minutes before rinsing her. Do this again in three days because fleas hatch. You need to treat your yard. Also, if you go to the vet, get Revolution or Advantage. These are monthly treatments and will keep her flea free.

Try out a lot of different flea medicines, flea shampoo, and flea collars.
Get rid of them as soon as possible.. Remember, fleas tend to prefer human blood to dog blood after a while!
Front line is really good, it worked for my dog when I had her.

take her to the vet and get a flea/tick treatment. Also give her a flea bath.
Bomb your house if the fleas have infested there.
