A new-born dog? You mean a puppy? A new-born puppy hasn't got any teeth so you mean you were gummed? Don't need any injections or jabs for a gumming!!!!

Must not be a just born puppy? Wash dog bites with antibacterial soap and water. Peroxide on the wound is good to prevent infection. Put on antibiotic ointment and cover with bandage or band aid. If it becomes red, leaks yellow or green on the bandage or you have a temperature, chills then see the doctor. Likely it will heal in 3 to 4 days.
If you are thinking rabies. There are very few cases of rabies these days so I wouldn't worry about it. It will be all right.

I can't imagine what a new born dog would be able to carry, infectious wise, that woulnd't immediately kill himself much less pass it on to you.

Just wash the area with soap and water.

New born puppies don't have any teeth and only know how to suck not bite. Even if it is an older puppy with teeth that bit you, just keep wash the wound and keep it clean.

How could a new born puppy have bitten you? Their eyes are not even open...you must have stuck your finger in its mouth and it thought it was its mommas nipple....I'm sure it didn't bite hard enough to break the skin and draw blood....I hope you never have a baby.

Nah don't worry about it, its fine, even if it gets infected as long as you clean it with peroxide you should be fine. If it gets worse get it checked tho.

Unless it gets infected, you don't even have to go to the doctor.
