I have an intact male (AKC show dog), my mutt (spayed) was obviously playing with a female who was in heat at the groomers today and now my mutt smells like she is in heat...but she was fixed 6 yrs ago. My male is going CRAZY!! Any suggestions on getting the scent off my (fixed) female? I gave her another bath, but it obviously didn't work. I don't have any Vick's either...grrrrrr

Give her a bath. Fill the sink with warm water and 1 cup of vinegar, 1/4 cup of baking soda and soak a towel in it and rub her down all over. If that doesn't work, then just let the dog learn the hard way that she is not interested in him. Trust me... she will let him know!

LOL that's great! Sorry, it's just pretty funny.

Well, he can't actually get her PREGNANT, so you can either let them go at it (yeah, yuck), put them in separate rooms while you drive to an all night grocery store & get some Vicks Vapo Rub, crate him and listen to the whining. Or crate her and let him be frustrated.

A bath may not get it all off, I'd opt for the Vapo Rub.

I've heard that placing a bit of vanilla extract near the male's nose will help (if you don't have any Vick's vapour rub).
