She's had it all day and I will take her to the vet in the morning, but what can I do tonight to stop it? She sounds croupy and she's done this before for a little bit and got over it, but never has she had it like this. Thank you

My friend has a kennel trained poodle, at least three years old, that has been pooping all over the house recently. She and her husband are both real estate agents and work long hours, but it's been like that for a while now, so she should be used to it. My friend can't think of anything new that would cause her dog to act this upset, though the dog is quite high strung. She gets plenty of chances to go outside and is otherwise well taken care of, but the past month she's obviously been upset about something. Any reccomendations to curb this behavior?

i have a toy poodle who is pretty much toilet trained.
over night when he is confined in the kitchen he only pees and poos on the newspaper provided but when i let him him out he most of the time he pees in the living room. also he does go outside. he pees and poos outside when we take him outside but for some reason he goes once in a while inside as well.
he mostly goes on the newspaper or outside but it's just sometimes he goes inside.
why's that? i correct him normally by saying NO when he is doing it and then carry him to the newspaper. is that ok? do i need to change anything? why's he doing it in the first place!?

I have seen/heard some pretty ridiculous claims made by people regarding their dogs. What is the strangest or most laughable old wives tale that you have ever heard about dogs?

I'll get it started - EATING RAW MEAT WILL MAKE DOGS BLOOD THIRSTY.

It is like someone who has parkinsons disease would do I guess would be a better way to explain it. He dont do it for long but it is pretty scary. It is kinda of like he his cold or scared maybe, but the rest of his body dont shiver. When I cover him up or scratch behind his ears he stops. Any advice? I am very paranoid about everything my animals do that dont seem normal. Am I just being over paranoid or what?

I spent the night out and came home to find my boy to have hives all over his body. Took him to the vet and it was an allergic reaction but we didn't know what caused it. A few days later i found a flea on my female dogs ear. I bathed them with Dawn dishsoap and only saw one dead flea in the tub. I look on them for fleas constently but haven't found another one yet. They have bites on them and itch to the point of just tearing up their skin(bleeding) and hair loss. I put revolution (had one left from before) on my boy and sprayed the carpet and furniture tonight w/ a flea killer. And they continue to scratch continuesly. You should know when i first rescued them (8wks old) they had a bad case of mange (never proven in skin scrapings) that i battled forever, finally curing w/ nu-stock. They are now 3. I guess my ? is can one flea cause all this and if not why can't i find anymore. Please help cause my poor little babies just look miserable and i don't know what else to do.

Shes always been a picky eater, 4 months old, her food is INNOVA for puppies. She begs for people food even though we dont feed her any except a little banana as a treat. but I know shes hungry. she just doesnt like this dog food I guess but i looked it up on this forum and innova is the best dog food. My mom says dont mix her dog food with people food or shell want that her hole life and it will be bad for her. I try mixing water in it but she doesnt want it some days she just doesnt eat then the next day she eats or she'll be picky. She's 14 pounds and I try to feed her 2 cups a day. She gets a ton of exercise. Should i just get a pet store brand food that she'll like? THANKS

what would possess someone to train their dog to use litterboxes and puppy pads. i always thought dogs natural instincts were to go potty outside. do u agree with my theory. my theory is that people that r too lazy to get their butts up and let their dogs outside go out and buy a litterbox for their dog. i find it pathetic. i mean it just makes me crazy. would u ever train ur dog to use a litterbox

Do you think it is a good idea, if you have a dog, to bring it with you to college and live in an apartment? My golden retriever will be between 2 and 3 years by the time I leave for college, and I don't think I'll be able to leave them behind. What do you think? Do you regret bringing/not bringing your dog to college? Why or why not?

I really needed to brush my dogs teeth because his breath was really bad so I used a old tooth brush and regular aquafresh toothpaste. Is that OK or will He get sick?
I also made him drink water after brushing his teeth so he didn't swallow it.

Can a dog be limping from sitting/laying down in one spot for a long time? I have a Shih-Tzu, 3 1/2 years old. This morning when I walked my dog, she was fine. But today, I was gone for the day, but when I came back (like 8 hours later), she was limping and her front leg seems to be the problem. She was in the house all day. Is this serious? Should I take her to the vet tomorrow, or is this an emergency? Thanks so much. Your help is really appreciated because I'm really worried.

I've read SO many things, I'm a bit confused. My puppy is now 10 weeks old. She sleeps all night in her crate with no problems. My question is this....do you provide water and/or food in her crate during the day? I would think this defeats the purpose as she would need to "go" if you do. However, would she not get dehydrated and/or hungry? My daughter comes home at lunch and right after school, so she is only crated for 3 to 3 1/2 hours at a time.

Please HELP...there is so much advise out there I'm confused. Answers from an actual dog trainer would be great!

My alaskan malamute is going to be 9 next month and she just looks and acts so old. She doesn't play anymore, just lays around and sleeps a lot. On good days she will climb the stairs and hang out with us as a family on bad days she just wants to stay in the living room and lay on her bed. She has developed what the vet says is tiny oil gland tumors all over her paws. She doesn't seem to be in any pain, just sleeps a lot.

So how does a dog know its there time? AND, how do we know its time?

I want to do whats right for her, although I know its going to be so hard when we do have to let her go. She was my husbands and my first baby after we got married. Please advise.

Last night after my 3 1/2 month old puppy pooped, I noticed a long skinny worm wiggling in her poop when I went to go clean it up. It was less than an inch long. About 2 1/2 weeks ago she just went to the vet to get vaccinated and she got a dose of dewormer medicine and took a heartworm pill. While there the vet assistant said it was going to be normal to see dead "rice" looking worms when she poops, but she didn't say anything about long, skinny ones that were alive. Is this part of the deworming process? Not until now have I seen worms in her poop. She has another vet appointment in 1 1/2 weeks where I have to bring in a sample of her poop. Should I just wait until then to tell them about it or should I let them know asap?
