Innova is EXCELLENT dog food.. make sure you feed her 2 -3 times a day. (divide the 2 cups into 2 or 3 equal feedings)
Remember when feeded quality food the dogs dont need to eat as much...perhaps 2 cups is too much (there is feeding chart on side of the bag)
some people food is ok, but yes it does create bad habits if you start giving them people food...
try microwaving the food for 10 - 15 seconds to bring out the oils and make it smell yummier..

Dont mix her dog food with people food. If this continues and she just doesnt eat, check with your vet. Try to gradually switch to a store brand "puppy" food. Feed her twice a day, give the food an hour sitting there and then take it away, eventually she will learn to eat while she has a chance. If you are desperate, use little pieces of her food as treats, ask her to sit and then hand feed her the food.

You don't need to feed her people food so don't mix it with her regular dog food. Also, just because Innova is one of the best dog foods doesn't mean your dog will like it. Some dogs are picky. Try switching dog foods. I use Canidae All Stages. Start off mixing 25% of the new food with the old food, then two days later mix 50% of the new food with 50% of the old food, then a few days later do a full switch to the new food. Switching too quickly will cause your dog to have an upset stomach.

Are you serious??
A 14 lb dog can't eat 2 cups of food a day consistently. Try 1-1.5 cups. Remember: all treats must be accounted for in her daily ration of intake. If she eats 3 milkbones a day, thats' 1/3 cup of food !!
Stick with the Innova, don't tamper with her food.
A healthy dog will eat when it is truly and naturally hungry.
Stop mixing people food with her kibble!!!!
Your mom is right, you're asking for problems later on with her health, pancreatitis for one.
Dry food + healthy dog = long life :)

First of all don't give your dog people food. A lot of people food can be poisonous to dogs. Innova is a great food but there are other good foods out there. I feed my dogs California Natural Herring and Sweet Potato and they love it. CN is made by the same people as Innova. Check out their website and try one of their other foods. That way your puppy will still be getting a great food but one that she will like. Good luck!

I would try a different puppy food. When she gets hungry enough she will eat. If you are really worried get some pet milk, it looks like a baby formula can, and pour a little over her food. As far as brand names, just read the labels and I bet they have the same stuff in them as off brands.

Pups, like people, have preferences. and not everyone of them agrees on what tastes best. there are many good quality foods out there try switching to another brand, but don't do this often as it can increase your problem. otherwise I can offer a couple of ideas like a tablespoon of grease left over from cooking will encourage his appetite without actually offering "people food". Another thing you can try is seasoning. a little garlic powder is cheap, changes the flavor, and can make your pooch less palatable to fleas and ticks. hope this helps

There are alot of good dog foods. You didnt say what kind of pup you have. Is your dog underweight? Sometimes dogs dont want to eat, but I wouldnt give people food or snacks. Ask the vet if your pup is at a normal weight for the age.

my dogs eat dry bisc for morning snak and boiled fresh chicken mixed with good tin food at nite, they love pasta, rice and veges(people food) thats not so bad.you should contact your vet and get her checked up if she not gaining weght or eating properly it could be a medical problem also.maybe not.i have 5 dogs and 3 eat anything and 2 are seriouslt fussy,so try difrent foods,as you dont want a sick and hungry puppy.she wil get bad habits of sntching food if you cant get her to settle with a full tummy.dont 4get they like to chew bones too.
