my dog bit my 3yr old daughter today he didnt bite through the skin but left teeth marks my partner wants to get rid of him but im not sure we have had him for 5 yrs his 5 yrs old im not sure what to do he did bite my cousin 2 yrs ago but has always be good with my kids what do you think?

I wanted to know if there was someplace I could look so I would know whether my pup was behind for his age for training and such, eg: housetraining, sitting, staying, heal, and other basic commands.

he just started limping this afternoon,
and earlier i noticed he was actually
eating his food while he was lying down.

now he cant even get up at all,
and i saw him kinda drag himself to move.
he's just lying down right now.

what should we do?
i dont know of any vets open tomorrow(sunday)
and the nearest one is in another city.

he isnt exactly a tiny dog
(chocolate lab)
so he'd be pretty hard to carry.

My golden retriver is 1 years old he is a purebred. People say that he should weigh about 60-80 but he weighs only 43 pound is this a problem? Also he has been eating regularly and is eating all the essential vitamins he needs. He is also a few inches shorter than he is by around 8 inches. I got him when he was 8 weeks old. Even though he may not be as stron as other dogs he will still be my best friend.

i totally love mutts, but my favorite color is black. And when u wear balck, and have shedding dogs, u get a hairy shirt, so i'm going non-shedding. But the thing is, i REALLY don't support breeders. Should i get a maltese mix? or what should i do?

What's a random fact about your breed that most people don't know?

I can't think of anything about Papillons yet but I have one for Huskies: Their noses dry up at night so they don't freeze.

well i have an american bulldog puppy. he is 7 month old and he pretty much behaves. he know when you say to get in his pen he goes right to it and he sits and for the most part he lays but for some reason he will not stop chewing my shoes and its not just shoe it my flip flops. He has chewed 4 pairs and the first two he did i went and got two of the same pair but he just chewwed the last pair earlier. how do i make him stop? He just started to do this about 3 weeks ago. He has also chewed the molding and Its not like he doesnt have toys or that he is bored.. He actually just went on a trip to petco to get a new bone and a thing the call a konk? that you can put treats in and it supposed to keep them occupied. There is always some one homw with him and there are two young boys and two dogs a few years older that live with us. I dont know what to do.. he is an inside dog but if he keeps it up he will be put out side.. for good.please help i dont want to do that to him he is my baby..

I have a med. size house, my backyard is pretty big, its me, my mom and my dad in the house. i live in a close small neiborhood so i can go around the neighborhood with no problem. and it has to be small, cute and playful.

Yesterday i bought some Granny Smith apples.
And, last night when my daughter went to get one my dog was soooo excited!! For a few moments, i was puzzled as to what was wrong with him! I got him when he was 6 weeks old and never seen him do this before.
I finally realized that he thought he had gotten a "new ball"...(LOL)...
When she bit into it his world was crushed!!(LOL!!)
I laughed my tail off!!

She was at the groomers on Wednesday for a haircut and since Thursday, she has had diahrrea-could she have picked up a bug there? Do I call my groomer to see if any dogs were sick that day? what can I feed my shih-tzue/poodle mix, about 13 pounds until I can take her to the Vet on Monday?

The mom and dad are both full blood American Pit Bull Terriers but they have no papers.

I dont know what price to ask for these pups when they are old enough to sell.

I will be providing first shots/exams for the pups.

every time my female dog is going to the bath room my male dog pees on her we dont no why and cant get him to stop doing it. it is a pain because it smells for one and its gross for 2 and for 3 we have to give her so many baths its unbeliveable does anyone no why he does this and how we can stop it?????

How much would it cost to give a 10 -15 lb dog flea shots from the vet? Don't say there is no such thing because my nana had it done to her dog and it works. I hear it gets rid of the fleas in less than one hour. So, how much would it cost. I am was going to go right now, but the nearest animal hospital is about to close. How much do you think it would cost for some flea shots?
