I have a 4 month old boxer at 2 months he was diagnosed with kennel cough. He was kept at the vet for a week and a half and put on a nebulizer. This nebulizing process costs 500$ plus but luckily the pet store paid for it. After he was released we were given kennel cough medicine to keep giving him until he ran out. He continued taking the medicine and about two weeks after he ran out he began coughing again. A week later we decided to order some prescription medicine for kennel cough to help him get better. He has continued with these same symptoms, although it sounds better during the day, at night he coughs up foamy mucus and eats it back up. We can't afford to pay 500$+ for the vet to keep him again. Any help on what we should do or what he may have?!?

I have a 4 year old husky and all of a sudden she's been having seizures, they were short ones and when I took her to the vet, they told me to change to a dog food with "easy digestive" so I swiched to Pedigree. Well she was doing good for a year and just had one about 5 minutes long and scared the crap out of me! I don't know if there's any way I can prevent it or help her any way when she has one, I just get so scared but I try to stay calm for her. What triggers it and is there warning signs I should look for?

I know stealing a dog is wrong but it needs help.

I have been renting my house for a year and I'm moving out in a month. My neighbors have a mini poodle that always escapes when they open the door. They have to chase the dog all over before they can catch it. When they catch it they hold it up and beat it and scream at it for a while then take it back inside.

I'm thinking that the next time their dog gets loose into my yard, I should just run out and catch it then hide it in my house (I have never heard the dog make a sound so I'm sure it will be quiet). When I move I can take it with me and find it a new home.

There is no animal rescue or humane society where I live. I have tried to call animal control about 50 times in this past year and they NEVER answer. I have even gone all the way across town a few times to the animal control station and they are always closed. I am moving to another city in a month so there is not much time left.

So do you think I could just take the dog with out getting in trouble?

I just moved across the country with my pug Odus 2 weeks ago, hes 2 years old and has never had a problem going before. I have to take him outside on a leash now since I live in an apartment now instead of a house. He seems to have a huge problem going while he's on a leash, hes going 2 - 3 days without pooing! He doesn't have an issue peeing, but he will not go poo. As gross as this sounds I know he has to go, you can see the poo. Help! what do I do!? I've even tried putting olive oil in his food the last few days, and still nothing.

Dog at large at least once a month. The neighbors do not care about property lines or boundaries and I've already called the dog catcher before so they could get a verbal warning. I've also called about one of their dogs barking for over an hour at 6am.
This time the neighbors actually came out to retrieve the dog from running around the block loose and I watched them carry the dog back by it's front paws. The little dog was squirming and whining to get free.
I don't want the neighbors to hate me because I do care about boundaries, even though they make our living situation terrible with letting their kids and dogs have run of my property, but I still feel like they should have SOME kind of responsibility as a pet owner.
I've been taking pictures of everytime their dogs run loose and I'm pretty sure they think I'm the jerk for reporting it.

What would you do?

My brother has an American Pitbulll Terrier who is 6 months old. Every time my mother goes near him, he starts growling. One day, my brother left him home with my mother and the dog started barking and looked like he was ready to attack. My brother bring Davinci (the dog) around his friends and other people and he never growls or anything. He is actually playfully and nice. What is going on? Is there a way for this to stop? Does he hate my mother? Is so, why? Davinci (the dog) is nice to my mom only when my brother is there. Is it because he is not used to being around my mother? I really need some answers as i cant find anything online to help me out.

My dane is healthy and has a great temperment and great with all people. she is 34 days pregnant. To the person who said spay her well you need to spay yourself. You are rude....

We just adopted a little 3 year old female sheltie and we love her but her previous owners only fed her soft food, so her teeth are not to good and her breath is well.......its horrible! I'm trying to get her to eat solid dog food, but she is not doing to well everyone says she'll eat it if she's hungry, well then i feel bad because i feel like i'm starving her. We tried mixing soft with hard and the solid food we got is very small pieces like for brand new puppies small and were now to the no soft and she's just not eating it like i'd like her to, should i be patient or just keep giving her soft food, i'm working on getting her teeth healthy and i've heard by feeding them only soft food it is not good for their health either, so please any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

So, I've sat and thought about this wolf hybrid craze lately, and I was wondering, how do people REALLY know that their dog is a wolf hybrid, and if so, how do they know what "breed" of wolf it is, i.e., timber wolf, gray wolf, etc. as I have seen some people claim.

I mean, can you really have validation on that? Did you really see a wolf of a specific species come and impregnant your domestic dog??

For those with wolf hybrid dogs, can you tell me how you know it's a wolf mix?? I really just don't understand....

My dog Chippy just passed away. After 15 years of wonderful memories i can't believe that he's finally gone. Here's my problem, i live in an apartment building and don't know what i should do with his body. I wish i had a house with a backyard that i could bury him in.

Maybe i should just put him in the dumpster? Would it be offensive to other people if he was in there? I guess i could quarter him out (eww), and put him in some trashbags. I don't know what to do, help!

The vet says it will be 30 days before we know anything for sure, but I'm wondering if the fact that she feels pain and can move her tail indicates that the nerve damage is minor and can be repaired? Also, the pain she feels on her butt appears to be quite intense judging from her crying and there are times when she refuses to use her hind legs while walking. Also, she does not want to lay down and has slept while sitting. There's so little info on the Web about this that I'm hoping someone can help. Thanks
