he has one little black spot on his tongue. his sisters and brother have black spots on their tongue too.

Maybe he does have some chow in him.

Most of the time they are folded but sometimes they are folded and floppy and sometimes will stick up.

it is always curled like that. Unless he is laying down it lays straight.

No. I think it may be mixed with Shiba Inu. I'm pretty sure about it.

This is a long shot, but what about Lab/Jindo mix? They can have similar tails. The coloring of your dog, how it fades to different shades of fawn, suggests an Asian breed. The partially erect ears might suggest an erect-ear parent. It's a rare breed and not well represented in sports, but I hear it's actually somewhat common as a pet, especially amongst the Korean population.

Doesn't look like a rotty mix to me. Is his tail always curled like it is in the second picture? If it is, then look to dogs with curled tails. Shiba Inu?

Keep the narrow muzzle into consideration. He doesn't seem to have a Chow like snout.

I think if he had some rott in him he would have more black. Labs are famous for their otter tails, so your tail doesn't look too off. I would be more worried about the pointy ears.

He is cute for sure! Looks to me like he could possible have some Shar Pei in him based on his little ears, shape of face, and tail.
