I just moved across the country with my pug Odus 2 weeks ago, hes 2 years old and has never had a problem going before. I have to take him outside on a leash now since I live in an apartment now instead of a house. He seems to have a huge problem going while he's on a leash, hes going 2 - 3 days without pooing! He doesn't have an issue peeing, but he will not go poo. As gross as this sounds I know he has to go, you can see the poo. Help! what do I do!? I've even tried putting olive oil in his food the last few days, and still nothing.

He has many new things to adjust to from moving to now being on leash all the time. Can you find an off-leash dog park in your area? He may simply be waiting to be off leash.

He could be dehydrated, he could have an obstruction. Did he eat anything like a 'dental' bone or a regular bone lately? Did he eat any fabric, socks, pantyhose, string, etc?

It you are not seeing any other problems, he could just be uncomfortable from all of the changes. You can try adding plain canned pumpkin (just a teaspoon or two for a small dog) to his diet along with some yogurt to get things moving better. You can also feed wet food instead of dry.

He has been going so he can't be completely obstructed but if you are concerned it is a good opportunity to get a new client visit at a local vet.

You might try a longer leash line, a long line made for teaching off leash obedience while still offering some control at a distance. If this goes on too long he will develop medical problems as it dries out the longer it is in his system and can become impacted.
Even a clothes line or thin rope could work. You can gradually break him into something shorter.

whilst the Vet addresses the urinary tract an infection the peeing will decrease. The dogs is under undesirable rigidity and you'd be able to desire to make sure regulations after the Vet assessments her out. you will would desire to get rid of those urine smells interior the dwelling house pronto and you'd be able to desire to feed the two as quickly as in line with day or 2 situations every day rather of having or permitting meals to be eaten at will. carry in there and you have a beneficial puppy. I as quickly as accompanied a dogs that did not something yet run at my ft and continuously bite me fairly complicated everytime I moved. With a months time and an excellent form of sharp no she began to work out my love for her even together with her bites and now could be now the affection of my existence.

Oh, the poor little guy!! And I know what you mean about seeing it. You really need to talk to a vet about this for some help. It isn't usually a problem for a dog to go outside and he might be constipated. The oil may help, but it is possible he has an impaction, which could be very serious. I am worried about this as he does pee, so it really isn't about outdoor toilet facilities.

Moving upsets dogs, I know I just moved and my dog had a hard time going for a while. Walk him a lot. (until he gets tired) and keep him on the food he is used to. Since he is a small dog try bottled water, sometimes the water change can effect the dog too. It wouldn't hurt to take him to the vet.

You need to take him the Vet. asap. It could a couple of different things, and they need to be fixed by the Vet. So go now instead of waiting for more answers. If his colon or the intestine rupture from the build up. It will lead to blood poisoning, and you don't want that!

Oh Man I hated it when my pugs were stubborn and wouldn't potty. Then they got old and couldn't control when/where they pottied. Now I miss my girls.

You may want to check with a vet. It could just be his system getting used to food/water, and new habits, etc.

Remember, PUGS ARE EVIL!!!

sometimes it takes a while to ajust to a new place and for him to feel comfortable to go. take him to the same area every couple of hrs, give hime lots of excersise and if it continues for a few more days see your vet to make sure he has no blockage. he might just be nervous, but the waste has to come out.

If you can see his poo and its not coming out - then you need to see a vet to find out why. Maybe there is something in there that is obstructing it = not letting it come out. After 3 days, he needs to goo... Please call vet to be safe.
