It's probably fine. Dogs seem to dream, just like we do and frequently twitch (especially their paws and lips) and whimper/growl/carry on in their sleep.

Dogs do that when they sleep. they are dreaming. You can get on line and read a lot about dogs and find out that is very common and a lot of fun to watch sometimes. Have you not ever had a dog before. You are in for a lot of fun. Just do your reading and educate yourself.

All dogs twitch in their sleep from time to time. They are dreaming! Just like we do. I love watching my dog dream...he's so funny, because all four of his legs will twitch as well as his lips and sometimes he even barks in his sleep!! lol

My cat twitches too and my husband says I twitch in my sleep all the time.

He is most likely just dreaming. Dogs dream just like people; however, they often twitch or have rapid movements and even whimper and sometimes bark.

Puppies do this when they are smaller, and will grow out of it as they get older. Sort of. As adults they do it as they dream. When they are pups, yes, they are dreaming, but this also helps with normal development of nerves and expression. No worries! Just enjoy the funny moves and noises!

ahh the sweet dreams of puppies! what you have to watch out for is when they are older and use ambien to get to sleep, then raid the fridge in an ambien induced feeding binge!

Most likely just dreaming - he should be fine -- speak to the vet about it if he keeps doing it at your next visit!
