It is probably ear mites. Look in her ears and see if you see brown colored build up. that is dried blood mixed in with earwax and it is the sign of ear mites. Your vet can give you some medication but I have also had good luck with over the counter ear mite medications. Do not put too much in the ear canal, it will irritate your dog. Clean as much of the goo out as you can with a cotton ball or paper towel before using the medication.

It sounds like she might have ear mites. You will definitely want to clean her ears out with some ear cleansing solution, and get her to the vet. They can give you some medication to put in them to get rid of the mites, if that's what it is. It could also be an ear infection, but the vet can tell you specifically what it is.
To use ear cleaning solution, you will want to get it to room temperature, then squirt a good bit into the ear (maybe a tablespoon or two for a dog her age), then massage the sides of the ear together(at the base of the ear right next to the skull) for several seconds, then let the dog shake her head. Get a gauze pad or cotton balls and wipe out the cleaner, and any other dirt/debris that you can see. You don't have to stick your finger way down inside, but get as far as you can safely.

She's almost certainly either got something in her ear, such as a grass seed, or she's got an ear infection.
The best thing you can do is take her to the vet- they can look down the ear with an otoscope (dog's ear canals are a different shape to ours, so you cannot see much at all just by looking at the ear yourself).
If there is something down there, they will be able to remove it, and if there are any signs of infection they will be able to begin the appropriate treatment- usually an anti-inflammatory injection to settle the irritation down and antibiotic/antifungal ear ointment to clear the infection. Unless she's a young pup, ear mites are less likely to be the cause of her problems.
AND, don't put any ointments in the ear until she's been seen by a vet. Foreign objects, and sometimes infection, can damage the eardrum, and putting certain ointments in can cause irreversible damage to the structures of the ear.

She has some sort of ear problem going on, could be mites or it could be a ear infection...Beagles do have those floppy ears that are more prone to infection. Look in her ears and if you see black crusty stuff it's ear mites. Either way you need to take her in to the vet it's the only way to accurately know what it is and treat it properly. Ear infections if it is that are usually something that will happen again with certain dog breeds.

She might have an ear infection or ear mites. Check them. it could also be an infection. check on the web for remedies until you can get to a vet. PS if the ear is hot, if it is sensitive to touch, could be an infection. Temporary aid, mix a bit of peroxide with a bit of water, and drop in the ear. the dog will shake her head, but it may stop the itching.

It could be an ear infection or something in her ear. My Beagle did that when he had an infection. Try cleaning the ears. Then get her to the vet. With a Beagle and the long floppy ears her shaking can to lead to other ear problems. A hematoma on the ear which could need surgery.

your dog may have an ear infection or ear mites. you can get ear mite med. at wal-mart. follow the directions on the bottle. if she is still shaking her head after a couple of days you will need to make a vet visit to see about an ear infection. good luck.

Could be ear mites or infections. Look in her ears and see whats going on. Also, did she get wet - it may be water in her ears. If it doesn't let up or you smell bad smell coming from ears (infection), take her to vet for some drops.

She might have ear mites. I'd have a veterinarian check it out. My Lab would constantly shake her head to the point where it became irritating to me and her, so I took her to our local vet and the vet told me she had ear mites.
