Nearly everyday there is a post on here about how awful pitbulls are. Yet I cannot recall a single question on here about a pitbull attack or bite, BUT just off the top of my head I can think of questions in the last few days about dog bites involving the following:
greyhound
dalmation
Jack Russel
German Shepherd
Chow
Chihuahiua
Miniature Pinscher
just to name a few.
Do you find this interesting??

My dog is a Pit/Lab Mix. I take her out very often because she is only 7months old and I walk her and play with her and feed her on a daily basisi twice if not three times a day. My problem is that when she is in the room with me she wont just sit down unless im totally firm with her and literally forcing her to stay put. she will listen at first. but then she will get up and just start smelling the around everywhere smelling everything. Is this a problem or is she just getting familiar with her surroundings. I have had her for 5months now and have her in the room everyday unless we leave the house or at night when we are going to sleep. I want to keep her in the room at night and not put her in the cage but she moves around so much im always popping up to see where she's at and what shes doing. she has me scared that shes going to be eating something she has no business or just tearing up something. Can someone tell me whats going on and how can I solve it, thank you in advance

Most of these so called "pit bulls" pertrayed by the media are bull dog mixes. Instead of believing everything you hear about them from the media, get some TRUE facts.
www.blessthebullys.com (take their "can you find the pit bull test" bet you can't pick the true pit bull

www.workingpitbull.com (site owner has 22 years of experience with pit bulls)

www.lawdogsUSA.org ( trains pit bulls to find bombs and drugs) The U.S. top drug dog is a pit bull !!!!

My dog is being treated for an unspecified ear infection and the Vet has asked me to clean his ears with an ear wash that I thought I had, but do not. I want to know if there are any substitutes for a commercially prepared ear wash.

I have gotten so many different opinions on this, I am very curious to see what everyone says! Okay, when dogs are establishing their pack order, who is the "top dog" and so on, do you let your dogs just fight it out? I know a lot of people that own two or more dogs, myself included, and we do (well, did, we haven't had to deal with that in a while) let our dogs just fight it out to a point, but if they really are in a fight we don't let them keep fighting. My husband and I own three APBTs. They are amazing dogs! APBTs are one of the most stable, people-friendly breeds in existence and they were bred to be family dogs, but they were also bred to fight dogs. There is no way I could just let my dogs fight it out, it wouldn't be very pretty! Anyway, there are so many different opinions on this and other things that have to do with our pets, even when it comes to the professionals and each swears the other is wrong! What is your opinion and what has worked for you?

I was in the Petland store this afternoon with my boyfriend. We saw a VERY small chihuahua puppy in a display with two other dogs (one larger chihuahua puppy and another small-breed dog). The small puppy was being trampled on and run into by the other two, larger, more boistrous puppies. I said something to the manager, who told me he would be fine, he just had to get used to it. Ok. We went and checked on him again a few minutes later. He was trying to walk across the enclosure, and his tiny feets were falling in between the wire grate. I was concerned that he would either fall over and break his legs or have one of the other rowdy puppies run into him and snap his leg in the grate. My boyfriend said something to the manager again, who told us he would be fine, he'd just have to get used to it. I asked how old he was, he said 8 weeks, and so were the other puppies. He really looked younger than that. I didn't feel right about this. Is this legal, if not, is there anything I can do??

I have a Lhasa Apso puppy that's about 1 year old. When we first got her I noticed this little lump just below her ribs on her stomach. At first I didn't think anything of it and just let it go, but ever since that it's just been getting bigger and bigger. What is it? Is it serious? Is she going to die? Please help I really worried! :(

My dog is a german shepard mixed with rotweiler and i have had him for 14 years. (thats a very long time i know) Well he hasnt been doing to well lately and we dont know if it is time to put him down. He has a VERY hard time getting both up and laying down. You can tell it isn't easy for him. He also has cateracts and is pretty deaf. He has trouble controling his valves so he is always pooping while he is sleeping. He cant even get up to do this. Then when he pee's he doesnt stand in one place he trails it along while he walks. The more it think about it, it seems it's time but then again i have had him for so long i cant decide. can some one please tell me what they think. And NO being rude.

I was sitting in my house playing games with my friends when all of a sudden my two dogs, two blue heelers, started barking and growling. It wasn't normal so I jump up and look out side and find that my two dogs had the cable guy cornered. Not knowing who he was I yelled out who he is and he said he was the cable guy. I got my two dogs off him and be four I could say anything he ran off yelling he is going to sue us...He never came and knocked or rang the door bell or gave any notice e was entering my backyard. Can they go freely into my backyard? And should of he stopped be four entering a backyard with two dogs? I don't think this is fair. Well anyways the cable company is sending an investigator tomorrow...

Okay. When I adopted my dog about 5 years ago he was around 40 lbs or so, give or take. He has always been a fat (or should I say "big-boned") Beagle, and the vet said he is healthy and in good condition despite his weight. He still weighs about the same. However, I still would like for him to lose some weight. We feed him 1 heaping cup of Beneful daily but I get the feeling that this stuff is crap. Is there anything better out there, and if so, what?

I went to the Dutchess county fair and brought my dog with me.Much to my surprize there was a sign that said that dogs were not allowed in the fair and it was against the law to keep the dog in the car alone. When did this law go into affect and is it enforceable any place other than fairgrounds.
