he doesn't look like a boxer... but he does look like he has a bit of German Sheppard in him, Im not sure of what other kind of mix he is though

He is definitely a mixed breed, and I think he has quite a few breeds in there. He is SOO cute!! I love his face! I think he could be part German Shepherd, mostly because of his colors. I also think he could be part Shar-pei because of his thick muzzle, coat type, and some what curly tail. He has a big head which makes me think either some type of mastiff or maybe rottweiler. But it doesn't matter what breeds he is, he is Super Cute!!!

Cute dog! Probably all of the above. He's mostly shepherd from the coloring, has the face of a boxer, and the ears of a lab. It's harder to tell when they're puppies, you'll have a better idea when he gets full grown.

Definitely some German shepherd, maybe a little Boxer or Rottweiler.Who knows what else, but he's really cute! His squarish head suggests Lab or even Pit bull, but could be anything.

If you have owned a German Shepard you can spot the color variations and the similar body tone, check out the tail common for chow chows, maybe a hint of lab due to body mass

German Shepard and chow chow/ small hint of lab

when he gets older you will be able to tell more,
better show a pic to a vet they can better tell you

there is some german shepherd in there, what else I don't know and for the person that said shepherds are nippers doesn't know what they are talking about, I have owned GSD for over 30 years and never had a nipper in the bunch. I work at a vet's office and have been "nipped" by more labs than I have shepherds, they are what you teach them to be.

Looks like a German Shepherd mixed with an Akita. I highly recommend obedience classes before this dog gets any older if you aren't already enrolled.

I would say he is just the cutest, most adorable puppy!
Great pictures (what mega pix do yo use?), thanks for
sharing! But of course the breed was the question!
I would say Norwegian Elkhound (it's where the turned up
tail comes from, the white "star " marking in the front of his chest, and the difference from a shepard in the shape of his head) and German Shepard.

He's sooooooo cute!!!!! I love how one ear stands up and the other goes down in the beach picture. He's definitely a German Shepherd mix, and I think he's also got some boxer.

I have a dog that looks very similar to yours. Mine is a boxer and pitt bull mix.

I would say that yours looks like it has German Shepard, Boxer, and maybe some pitt in there.

Have you asked your vet if they had any ideas? Usually they are very helpful!

Either way your dog is a cutie.

beautiful dog! (and adorable tortie too!)

my guess is shep & shar pei...shep 'cause of coloring & fur, shar pei 'cause of tail, size of body, square head, eye shape...he won't get much bigger, most breeds stop bone growth between 6-9 mos, so i'm guessing he'll be about 50-lbs. and only a few inches taller as an adult.
