Train them to trust you first in the house, then let them get used to being on a leash and walk them around the house, if they try to bite the leash, then say in a firm voice "No" and praise them as they are walking well. then try to take them for a walk on their leash individually outside for a while. You shouldn't keep them outside in the backyard unaccompanied especially if they are puppies. Just remember, be patient. Also for the digging. Dogs natural instinct is to dig to find things they dug before. If you want them to stop just keep on telling them no and pull them away. When they dont dig, praise them.

Hi, there is no easy fix for this problem so this is what you have to do, First you need to have some one build a proper "kennel run" with a wood or concrete floor so the dogs can not dig out. You will also have to spend some time exercising your dogs, If a dog is bored it will find all kinds of ways to get in trouble, including finding ways to escape. You will also have to spend time taking your dogs to obedience classes so they will come when call, and dogs like training if they know that at 6 ocklock you will have the leash and dog treat they will be home waiting for you. . If you do all these things your dogs will love you more , will be better behaved and will not run away.
If your dogs are boys and not fixed, they are running away to find girl friends . So that is why people are saying get your dogs fixed.
But just fixing your dogs will not stop them now because they have learnt it is fun to run away .
You must get the kennel and spend time playing, walking and training them , I hope this helps

You need to take a more diligent stand on protecting your dog from running away. You run the risk of your dogs biting someone else, getting hit by a car or truck and being left abandoned to suffer, they also risk being picked up by animal control , being injured in dog fight etc.You get the idea, you need to take responsibility for your pets or find them a safer home.Maybe obedience classes could help.Have you got a fenced in area for the dogs to be enclosed in when they are not supervised by you.A concrete base surrounded by fencing should be secure.A good quality leash should not break, maybe yours are not appropriate for the breed.I'm not a big fan of retractable leashes as you no longer have the dog at arms length to control.Dogs have been hit by cars while on this type of leash. When a dog can walk too far ahead of you ,you are no longer controlling the dog. You should talk to your veterinarian for more suggestions. Your pet is a friend and responsibility for it's lifetime.Good luck.

You should keep them inside with the family unless you are outside with them, that's what.

Dogs don't break leashes very often - if you mean they are tied up, that's heartless.

I have 6 dogs, they don't run away, I make sure they are safe and secure. That's your responsibility as a pet owner.

Your dogs are obviously out alone too much if they have time to dig under - play with them, walk them, keep them inside when you can't. Give them toys and chewies.

They break leashes? You're kidding right? You clearly need to spend more than $5 on your leashes.

If you are just leaving them outdoors, well, then you can't. They aren't trained. Keep your dogs indoors and go outside with them ON THE LEASH. Spend some money and learn how to train them. If you can't put in the time to care for a pet, then you shouldn't have one.

You should put the fence lower into the ground. Or if you have 1 or more gates close all of them. Note; It 's hard to watch 1 dog so its even harder to watch 2 dogs because there fast and sneaky.

I had the identical obstacle with one among my puppies. He might bounce my five foot fence and now not even consider two times approximately it. He is neutered incidentally in order that particular it did not remedy him. I set up an invisible fence at the fence that the puppy used to be leaping over. It has labored very good. They are effortless to put in. Follow the recommendations related to coaching the puppy to the fence to the letter. I realize plenty of men and women do not like them however I consider that it has stored my puppy from being hit via vehicles, shot via mad land homeowners, and being picked up via animal manage. This is the satisfactory cash that I have spent to hold my get away artist within the backyard. I additionally take this puppy out for walks and he will get plenty of coaching in obedience, agility, and searching so he will get to do plenty except sit down within the garden. Take your puppy to puppy coaching elegance so you'll be able to educate him what the phrase come way. Come demands to be an excessively optimistic phrase. It will have to imply treats and a laugh now not punishment. Many puppies are ruined to the phrase come for the reason that the landlord punishes the puppy for coming to the phrase "Come".

Our dog does that sometimes too. We've gotten her to stop doing it because when we get her back in the house she gets punished. She gets her butt beat and then put in her box for like a hour. We also praise her for coming back in the house she is called. She gets rubbed on and told what a good girl she is as well as a treat. That's just what's worked for us.
