Pug wrinkles (and ears) are a daily chore to keep clean. I personally use baby wipes and then follow with a dry towel. It could be an infection, so I would call the vet and describe to him what the discharge is. He/She will either tell you what to clean it with or have you bring the puggy in.

Pugs can be a lot of work but they are worth it.

I guess you never bothered to clean her face huh? Pugs and other dogs that have those squished in faces can get acne and other skin infections from food, dirt and trapped oil in their wrinkles. Buy some Malaseb wipes at a pet store and wipe out all the creases and wrinkles on your dogs face. Do this every day especially after she eats. Malaseb wipes are a strong antifungal wipe that will clear up pretty much any dermatological problem an animal will have. You will have to keep wiping her face clean even after her infection goes away you can just use a baby wipe to save the malaseb wipes for another infection.

It sounds like a yeast infection. You need to clean the wrinkles with witch hazel, dry with a hair dryer set on low,and then apply either an athlete's foot powder or a vaginal yeast infection cream containing 2% Miconazole nitrate to the area twice a day.Feed the dog plain yogurt eveyday, too. If it doesn't clear up in a week or so,you need to call a vet.

After washing with warm water you you could put some baby powder or corn starch in the fold to keep moisture to a minimum (preventing the discharge from returning). But, if money isn't an issue and the dog is like family, I would def. call a vet!
