My puppy is 8wks old is a chihuahua mix she's pretty small and has not ate since yesterday she seems kind of depressed. She was vaccinated with a parvo shot from Tractor Supply on Saturday becuase her brotherdied from parvo but if it were that she would have diarrhea what else could it be???

I'm not sure wether to get a springer or a cocker spaniel. We don't have a very big house and i would prefer a smaller spaniel, do you know the differences better a cocker and springer? Please help!

Any training suggestions?
How much, on average, is it for shots, and everything the vet needs to do?
Can he go outside right away?
He's eight weeks old.

BUT we are watching my friend's nine year old puppy next week...should we just go to their house every hour or so, or would it be alright to introduce him to Ben (our puppy), when he just came to live with us?

has an1yone got any training aids/advice that they absolutley swear by? i need to 3 yr old ***** to stop pulling and my puppy to come when off the lead. she will follow my older dog everywhere so i get her back by calling my other dog.
she is also scared of everything while on a walk and some times when scared she will run to get away from whatever and will not listen to me.

I'm considering giving her some thinking to "drink". But I know she has liver problems, she actually takes special foods that have enzymes in them. Will alcohol kill those enzymes? I doubt it but I thought I ask the community for advice none-the-less.

my 6 month old puppy is constantly biting her feet! it drives me crazy because i can hear her chewing on her foot bones and i know it must hurt. she has no outwardly visible signs on her fur. any suggestions? if it keeps up i'll have to take her to the vet, but if there is a home remedy i'd like to try that first.

Ok so I have this friend who has a dog who is aggerssive when people try to touch her. By aggressive i mean she growls and sometimes runs away. She will take food from your hand but will not let you pet her. She will obey commands from people other than the family but she still wont let you touch her. Also she will sometimes lean aganist your leg but if you make a move to touch her she will growl and run away.

Is there a way to get her to let people pet her??

My dog is teething, losing her puppy teeth, and she eats whatever she gets a hold of shoes, table legs, and most recently vertical window blinds. I've had to replace the blinds 4 times I worried she is eating too much plastic. Her activity levels are normal no loss of appetite, but she is getting these black circles around her eyes and her natural white coat is turning yellow. Is this something I should worry about?

I have a family of 4 and the youngest chld is 8. We would prefer a dog that's not large. More like beagle size. We would like one that's a non shedder. But if you can't think of one,maybe we could do a shedder.

My 3 year old yorkie poo is always biting herself to the point where she has literally made an open wound. I try to keep clothes on her as much as possible, but when it gets hot I have to let her go "naked" :). Her diet is pretty good, she eats wet and dry food, rice and sometimes chicken. My vet has given us medication, but I only use it sporadically b/c it isn't meant to be a long term solution. I can't afford to get her allergy testing right now but I also can't let her keep biting herself. Any suggestions? Should I change her diet, is there a cream or spray to help with the itchiness? She is kind of a nervous dog, so I am even wondering if it could be a nervous habit? Any advice would be GREAT!!

6 yr old rotty and 3yr old sharpei needing great family to care for them. Both have great temperment with all people. Not real sociable with other dogs. my dog as just hit 2 yrs and we have been trying to get him to bark when we say *speak* for a yr and a half..........but he can bark we know....* he barks at cars and stuff* we even use treats but he won't we have another dog who will and he is the leader of the 2.................plz some 1 help.......my dog's breed is boxer
