Any training suggestions?
How much, on average, is it for shots, and everything the vet needs to do?
Can he go outside right away?
He's eight weeks old.

BUT we are watching my friend's nine year old puppy next week...should we just go to their house every hour or so, or would it be alright to introduce him to Ben (our puppy), when he just came to live with us?

For an eight weeks old, i think it's better off to keep him inside the house for the time being. At least until he's fully vaccinated with all his shots. If not, your pup might get sick easily due to airborn viruses.

Usually for shots, they're about $37 for the 6 in 1 and $12 for Rabies. YOu can get them cheaper at the animal shelter $27 for all of the shots but they're only open on certain days and only for 2 hours or so. So you'll have to be ready to stand in lines under the hot sun.

While watching your friend's nine weeks old pup, it'll be a great opportunity for your pup to socialize with your friend's pup since they are about the same age. That way they can get plenty of playtime and sleeping time together.

Remember to keep an eye out for your pup tho, he's still a pup so you'll have to house train him. FOr example, watch if he pees in the house and yell if "NO" if he does. He should be able to learn pretty quickly. However, since they're only 8 weeks old, they can't fully control their bladder until probably 7 mons. so if they do make accidents around the house. DOn't make a big deal. They're like human babies, they poop and pee and sleep. ONly punish them when you catch them in the action of doing it.

Good luck!
