We just got him 2 weekls ago and he is living in our apt.. but for the first time today he pooped on the FLOOR and I saw something that looked like white mucus, but I looked closer and it was actually WORMS! They were alive and crawling

How did my puppy get worms???
How do I treat it (what medicaton)??
Will I get worms walking barefoot?
Whats the best way to clean this spot up??
What kind of worms were these, tapeworms? They were crawling! Ew...
I sprayed bug spray in the area where the worms crawled off at, will this kill them? Please help

haha sorry but for awhile she pooped and peed outside because she was out alot. but i need to know how to make sure she knows thats where she has to pee or poop.

So, I want a dog so bad. In mind, a beagle. My mom wouldn't mind having a puppy but she is allergic. I want to find a dog allergy medicene. Last time she took one though...about 9 years ago, she was cooking and than she passed out and almost killed the house. I'm looking for an allergy medication that is:

NON DEPENDENT
NON DROWSY
& HAS NO SEVERE SIDE EFFECTS

She's currently 9 Weeks old.
Weighs 1 pound.
Btw,she just got out of the bath,thats why she is wet!

We have 2 of the most beautiful Pomeranians ever - they both have very loving, sweet dispositions about them. So recently my husband and I decided to adopt a third one. We wanted to give an unwanted pet a good, loving home. So we adpoted a another Pomeranian, Valentino. He is so sweet, loving and gets along with the other 2 just great. The problem, I love birds. so my husband has put bird feeders along with bird houses in our back yard making a beautiful bird sancuary - our new addition is a bird killer. He has killed 5 of my baby birds in the last month and I don't know how to break him of it - we have never had this problem with our other 2 so it really has us stumped - we have a really nice fenced in back yard w/a pet door so the dogs may come and go as they please - our neighbors have cats so the front yard is really out of the question and getting rid of him is not an option - any suggestions would be greatly appreciated...

Help! I cant decide they're all so cute, but which one is right for us. Ive got an 1000 sq. ft. home. I also have a large fenced in back yard. I have a 1yo and a 2yo active little girls. I want a friend for them. I'd like a med to small dog. Not to small cause It would be to fragile to be around toddlers. Plus I take overnight trips out of state to the inlaws monthly. I want to be able to take the dog with us. I hate to have to burden with a large dog. We arent very active, basically just stay home with the kids play indoors. Outside weather permitting. Thanks for any input..

i am getting very scared of our dogs health because she got run over on wednesday by a car we took her to the vet and found out that she has a broken leg and some part of her backside(close to her butt) but anyways it cost $380 and to have surgery on her leg costs about $1000 and we cant really afford it right now so she got home on thursday but with a cast on her left back leg and today friday night she was sleeping in our little couch and she has this eye thing where she closes it and her eye moves to right in the scary way and i am scared that she might die so please HELP!!! answer ASAP

I've never had a puppy this stubborn before, she only does things when she wants to do them. She won't walk on the leash unless their is slack in it, and she refuses to bark or let me know when she has to go potty. I even bought a bell for her to ring so that I will know when she wants to go outside and she doesn't even do that.

I have a two year old dog who is afraid of almost everything. whenever there is a loud noise she ducks or either lies down. or when anyone walks near her she turns her head and avoids eye contact. whenever i put her leash on she runs away and trembles.
no one treats her badly and she never has had any traumatic experiences. she does have an older brother who likes to take her things and play roughly. but she seems to like playing with him. im afraid maybe he has made her scared. what should i do to make her feel more confident?

We just bought a Cocker Spaniel puppy on Thursday night. I had specifically asked the breeder if the dog had fleas BEFORE I decided to buy him and he, of course, said "no." When we got the puppy, I noticed he was scratching his ears and he pointed out that dogs always get itchy. I didn't think anything of it because our cockers always had ear problems. However, the dog has been scratching non-stop because he has fleas. We have 2 cats and have NEVER had fleas in our house or yard. Now I have to put all the animals on frontline, wash everything, shampoo the carpets, treat the puppy for some sort of dermatitis reaction to the flea bites, and spray the house and yard. The vet bill was $235!
I called the breeder on Saturday about the fleas and said how mad I was about the fleas. I asked for him to call me back. I've left 2 more messages since and he hasn't returned my calls! Can he be held liable for all these expenses? Please help! Thanks!

I was reading the answers to another question on here about what could happen during delivery if a dog was too young to be bred in the first place, and one of them involved the uterus bursting and the female dying.

Here's the question: What would be the right thing to do if your dog goes into labor, her uterus breaks, you know that she's dying, but none of the puppies have been born. Let's say that you don't have any access to a nearby vet because it's a weekend and it's closed. You do, however, have the phone number of the emergency vet next to you just in case there were complications, but it's at least an hour away from you, and you know that by the time you get there, your dog will probably be dead, along with the majority of the pups...what would you do? Is it ethical to try to save the pups? I mean, the only way to save them, I'm strictly guessing, would be to open the mother and take them out one by one...but would you be able to do it if it happened?

my friends dog just ate a bag of chocolate accidentally.
she says he is in his cage panting like normally [she sees meaning hes happy]
he want outside to use the bathroom but she doesnt know if he puked or what.

her mom is not at home so she cant take the dog to the vet yet so what should she do??

i have had dogs my whole life and could never figure out why after i give them a bath(as i just my two dogs a bath)that right after they go hay wire lol they run around the house playing barking.it cracks me up.anyone have any ideas.

I thought it could be allergies or perhaps mosquito bites.I started bathing him every other day just because he likes it, it's been hot, and because there have been bad fleas lately also. I noticed when he woke from a nap and had been sleeping on a damp spot of the pavement from where I had cleaned earlier and he laid down before it could dry. When he got up from his nap that side of his body that was damp was incredibly "welted". it doesn't appear to be bothering him very much.The thing that bothers me is that there are many stray dogs in this area. Disease and alot of really bad stuff like parvo etc spread really easy here. I volunteer on the weekends for a stray animal project so I know first hand how bad it is. I am constantly dealing with worms and other bugs he picks up from outside.If anyone has any idea what it could be I'd love to hear it.PLEASE NO REMARKS ANYTHING CONTAINING THE WORD VET.Im NOT in the U.S not everybody can run to someone else to save them with everything.
